Composition:

Active substance:

Umifenovir 50,00 mg (in terms of monohydrate - 51,75 mg) or 100,00 mg (in terms of monohydrate - 103,60 mg).

Excipients: calcium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate 9.275 / 18.445 mg, magnesium stearate 1.3 / 2.615 mg, microcrystalline cellulose 56.625 / 113.245 g, silicon dioxide colloid 1.05 / 2.095 mg.

Description:Colorless transparent capsules No. 3 (for a dosage of 50 mg) and No. 1 (for a dosage of 100 mg). The contents of capsules are white powder with a shade from cream to grayish-beige.

Pharmacodynamics:

An antiviral agent, has an immunomodulatory and anti-influenza action, specifically suppresses influenza A and B viruses, severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS).

The antiviral effect is due to the suppression of the fusion of the lipid envelope of the virus with the cell membranes upon contact of the virus with the cell.

Has interferon-inducing properties, stimulates humoral and cellular immunity reactions, phagocytic function of macrophages, increases the body's resistance to viral infections.

Therapeutic efficacy, due to the suppression of influenza viruses and ARVI, is manifested in a decrease in the severity of intoxication and catarrhal phenomena, the period of fever and the overall duration of the disease.

It prevents the development of post-influenza complications, reduces the frequency of exacerbations of chronic bacterial diseases.

Pharmacokinetics:Absorption is fast. Quickly distributed to organs and tissues. Time to reach the maximum concentration when taken in a dose of 50 mg -1.2 h, 100 mg - 1.5 hours Metabolized in the liver. The half-life is 17-21 hours. About 40% is excreted unchanged, mainly through the intestine (38.9%) and in an insignificant amount by the kidneys (0.12%). During the first day, 90% of the administered dose is withdrawn.
Indications:

Prevention and treatment in adults and children:

- influenza A and B, acute respiratory infections (including those complicated by bronchitis, pneumonia); secondary immunodeficiency states, severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS);

- complex therapy of chronic bronchitis, pneumonia and recurrent herpetic infection;

- prevention of postoperative infectious complications and normalization of immune status in adults;

- in the complex therapy of acute intestinal infections of rotavirus etiology in children older than 3 years (50 mg) and children over 6 years (100 mg).

Contraindications:Hypersensitivity, children's age (up to 3 years), pregnancy and lactation.
Dosing and Administration:

Inside, before eating.

For nonspecific prophylaxis:

- with direct contact with patients with influenza and other SARS: children from 3 to 6 years - 50 mg, from 6 to 12 years - 100 mg, over 12 years and adults - 200 mg once a day for 10-14 days;

- during the epidemic of influenza and other acute respiratory infections, to prevent exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, recurrence of herpetic infection: children from 3 to 6 years - 50 mg, from 6 to 12 years -100 mg, over 12 years and adults - 200 mg twice a week in for 3 weeks. For treatment:

- flu, other acute respiratory infections without complications: children from 3 to 6 years - 50 mg, from 6 to 12 years -100 mg, over 12 years and adults - 200 mg 4 times a day (every 6 hours) for 5 days;

- influenza, other acute respiratory infections with complications (bronchitis, pneumonia, etc.): children from 3 to 6 years - 50 mg, from 6 to 12 years - 100 mg, over 12 years and adults - 200 mg 3 times a day for 5 days, then a single dose once a week for 3-4 weeks.

In the complex therapy of chronic bronchitis, herpetic infection: children from 3 to 6 years - 50 mg, from 6 to 12 years - 100 mg, over 12 years and adults - 200 mg 3 times a day for 5 days, then a single dose 2 times per week for 3-4 weeks. Prevention of postoperative complications: adults - 200 mg for 2 days before the operation, then 200 mg for 2 and 5 days after the operation.

In the complex therapy of acute intestinal infections of rotavirus etiology, children over 12 years of age and adults are prescribed 200 mg 4 times a day (every 6 hours)for 5 days, at the age of 6 to 12 years - 100 mg 4 times a day (every 6 hours) for 5 days, at the age of 3 to 6 years - 50 mg 4 times a day (every 6 hours) within 5 days.

Side effects:Rarely allergic reactions.
Interaction:When prescribed with other drugs, no negative effects were observed.
Special instructions:Does not show central neurotropic activity.
Effect on the ability to drive transp. cf. and fur:Admission of the drug does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and engage in other potentially hazardous activities that require increased concentration and speed of psychomotor reactions.
