Included in the formulation
АТХ:

S.01.H.A   Local Anesthetics

S.01.H.A.01   Cocaine

Pharmacodynamics:

As a local anesthetic cocaine It acts on sensitive nerve endings and on sensitive nerve fibers located in infiltrated tissues. For infiltration anesthesia, solutions of local anesthetics of low concentration (0.25-0.5%) are used in large quantities (200-500 ml), which are injected into tissues (skin, subcutaneous tissue, muscles, internal tissue) under pressure. Infiltration anesthesia is used in operations on internal organs and many other types of surgical interventions. Dissolve anesthetics in hypotonic (0.6%) or isotonic (0.9%) solution of sodium chloride.

Pharmacokinetics:

To reduce the resorptive effect and prolong the effect, vasoconstrictive substances (for example, epinephrine).

Indications:

Superficial anesthesia of the conjunctiva and the cornea of the eye, the mucous membranes of the oral cavity, the nasal cavity and the larynx and the mucous membrane of the urinary tract.

Symptomatic treatment of sinusitis and rhinitis.

XXI.Z40-Z54.Z40.8   Another type of preventive surgical intervention

XXI.Z40-Z54.Z40.0   Preventive surgical intervention in the presence of risk factors, with a malignant tumor

XXI.Z40-Z54.Z40   Prophylactic surgical intervention

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity.

Carefully:

Pregnancy, lactation, elderly age, age under 18, liver and kidney disease, drug addiction in the anamnesis.

Pregnancy and lactation:

The FDA recommendation category is C.

During pregnancy and lactation (breastfeeding), the application is only possible in cases where the expected benefit to the mother exceeds the potential risk to the fetus or infant.

Dosing and Administration:

Cocaine is used for superficial anesthesia of the conjunctiva and cornea of the eye (1-3% solutions), oral mucosa, nasal and laryngeal cavity (2-5% solutions) and mucous membrane of the urinary tract (3-5% solutions).

Cocaine is also used in ointments, drops and powders (0.2-2.0%), prescribed for the symptomatic treatment of sinusitis and rhinitis.

To reduce the absorption of cocaine, lengthen and strengthen cocaine anesthesia, adrenaline solutions are added to the cocaine solutions (2 ml of a solution of cocaine hydrochloride - 1-2 drops of 0.1% solution of epinephrine hydrochloride).

Higher doses of cocaine hydrochloride: a single dose of 0.03 g, daily - 0.03 g.

Side effects:

Possible increase in intraocular pressure, acute attack of glaucoma. Care must be taken with bronchoscopy.

When absorbed and injected into the bloodstream cocaine has a toxic effect on the central nervous system and the circulatory system (first excites, then depresses) and can cause poisoning phenomena.

Overdose:

Long-term use of cocaine drugs is addictive, as well as cocaine addiction, cocaine or cocaine addiction, the subject of painful predilection in which it serves cocaine.

Interaction:
