    Pharmacodynamics:

    Has an effect on norepinephrine, dopamine and serotonin receptors of the central nervous system. Suppresses nociceptive flexion reflexes, relieves chills and pain in the postoperative period.

    Does not have antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effect, does not wiggle on the anticoagulant system of blood, does not cause irritation of the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract.

    With intravenous administration, the therapeutic effect develops in 30 seconds, reaches a maximum after 15-20 minutes.

    Pharmacokinetics:

    Not studied.

    Indications:

    It is used for relief of pain syndrome of various etiologies, including after surgical intervention and trauma, with generalized muscular tremor, for analgesia of childbirth.

    Contraindications:

    Epilepsy, an individual intolerance.

    Carefully:

    Glaucoma, urinary retention, prostatic hypertrophy, impaired liver and kidney function, senile age.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    Recommendations for FDA - Category C. It is used for life indications.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Dosage is selected individually, depending on the intensity of pain.

    Inside for 30-90 mg 3 times / day. Intravenously: 20 mg per 40% glucose solution 3-4 times / day; intramuscularly: 20 mg 3-4 times / day.

    The highest daily dose: 120 mg.

    The highest single dose: 90 mg.

    Side effects:

    Central and peripheral nervous system: drowsiness, dizziness, nervousness, euphoria, convulsions, hallucinations.

    The cardiovascular system: tachycardia.

    Digestive system: dry mouth, nausea, vomiting.

    Urinary system: retention of urine.

    Dermatological reactions: hyperhidrosis.

    Allergic reactions.

    Overdose:

    Increased side effects.

    Treatment is symptomatic.

    Interaction:

    It is not recommended simultaneous use of the drug with monoamine oxidase inhibitors.

    Special instructions:

    During the treatment by nefopam it is not recommended to drive the car and work with moving mechanisms.
