Pharmacodynamics:

Non-steroidal antiandrogenic agent.It blocks androgen receptors of target cells, which leads to disruption of replication of malignant tumor cells of the prostate due to an obstacle to the action of endogenous androgens.

Pharmacokinetics:

After oral administration, it is completely absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract. The maximum concentration in the blood plasma is reached after 12 hours. The connection with plasma proteins is 84%.

Therapeutic effect develops after the reception. Metabolism in the liver up to 5 metabolites, one of which has pharmacological activity (50% of nilutamide).

The half-life is 39-59 hours at doses: 100 and 300 mg, respectively. Elimination with faeces - up to 62% and 48% with kidneys within 120 hours after administration.

Indications:

It is used for the purpose of palliative treatment of prostate cancer with metastases.

Contraindications:

Severe hepatic insufficiency, individual intolerance.

Carefully:

Anemia, hepatic insufficiency of mild and moderate degree.

Pregnancy and lactation:

Dosing and Administration:

Inside, washed down with a large amount of water 150 mg 2 times / day for 4 weeks.

The highest daily dose: 150 mg.

The highest single dose: 300 mg.

Side effects:

Central and peripheral nervous system: headache, dizziness, insomnia, nervousness, drowsiness, weakness, depression, peripheral neuropathy.

Digestive system: nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, constipation, flatulence, decreased appetite, bleeding from the gastrointestinal tract.

Reproductive system: decreased libido, impotence.

Sense organs: frustration of twilight vision, increased photosensitivity, violation of color vision, paresis accommodation.

Allergic reactions.

Overdose:

Increased side effects.

Treatment is symptomatic.

Interaction:

Strengthens the effects of propranolol, lidocaine, diazepam, theophylline, phenytoin.

Special instructions:

In the treatment of wearing sunglasses is recommended, alcohol is not used to avoid disulfiram reactions. It is not recommended to drive and work with moving machinery.
