    Pharmacodynamics:

    Antiseptic preparation, possesses bactericidal, antiprotozoal, fungicidal effect and a wide spectrum of antimicrobial activity. The drug is active against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia fromoli, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Streptococcus pneumoniae, protozoa Entamoeba spp.

    In the presence of blood and purulent discharge bactericidal effect is slightly reduced.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Locally. Preliminary concentrate should be diluted to 0.1 or 0.2% concentration by adding to 1.0 ml Ringer's solution without lactate or 0.9% solution of sodium chloride 1.0 or 2.0 ml of concentrated Lavasept solution, respectively.

    For washing and active drainage of wounds, a 0.1% solution is used; In case of infection of wounds with gram-negative flora - 0.2% solution.

    If hypersensitivity reaction develops, the application should be stopped immediately and symptomatic treatment (antihistamines) should be prescribed.

    With prolonged use, the drug may damage intact cartilage. To avoid complications, it is not recommended to use a preparation for washing uninfected joints. If the product gets into intact cartilage, the wound should be rinsed with Ringer's solution without lactate or with saline.

    When mixed with other solutions, cloudiness and precipitation should be avoided. Precipitated at low temperatures polyhexanide can be dissolved by heating the solution to 60 ° C.
