Pharmacodynamics:The post-synaptic blockerx α1-, extra- and presynaptic α2-adrenoreceptorsditch with peripheral and central influence. It causes a decrease in the tone of the smooth muscles of the vessels (especially arterioles and precapillaries), OPSS, AD. Suppression of excitability of diencephalic structures of the brain and regulation of the tone of sympathoadrenalth system.
Pharmacokinetics:Not studied.
Indications:Prevention of sympathoadrenal crises with high blood pressure in the hypothalamic syndrome.
Meniere's syndrome, prevention of sea and air sickness (as part of combination therapy).Diencephalic crisis of sympathoadrenal type: for cupping, for prevention of crises. Alcohol withdrawal syndrome. Morphine abstinence syndrome.
As a symptomatic for skin itching, with allergic dermatosis.

Contraindications:Hypersensitivityatherosclerosis, ischemic heart disease (severe forms), cerebral circulation (including history), chronic heart failure, children's age (up to 6 months).
Carefully:Caution should be used in elderly patients. It is recommended to monitor the blood glucose level (possibly raising the level of endogenous insulin).
Pregnancy and lactation:Category of recommendations FDA is not defined. Adequate and well-controlled studies in humans and animals have not been conducted.

Dosing and Administration:Inside, intramuscularly, subcutaneously. For relief of hypertensive and diencephalic crises: adults - 2-3 ml 1% solution p / k or / m, children - 1-2 ml 1% solution w / m; for the prevention of crises: adults - inside by 0.015-0.03 g 2-3 times a day, children 2-3 times a day, the dose is selected depending on the age; with insomnia and itching dermatoses - inside 15-30 mg before bedtime; prevention of motion sickness syndrome - 15-30 mg for 40 minutes before the trip; at a morphine abstinence - on 0,045 g 3 times a day within 5 days; alcoholic - 3 ml of 1% solution p / to or in / m 3 times a day. Higher doses for adults inside: single 0.06 g, daily 0.18 g; parenteral: single 0,045 g, daily 0,09 g.
When used in children, the dose is set depending on the age.
Side effects:Decrease in blood pressure, bradycardia, increased symptoms of angina pectoris, allergic reactions.
Overdose:Symptoms: bradycardia, orthostatic collapse, sharp decrease in blood pressure.
Treatment: maintenance of vital functions (mezaton, ephedrine, coronarolytics, etc.).
Interaction:Neuroleptics (derivatives of phenothiazine, butyrophenone, diphenylbutylpiperidine, thioxanthene) - enhancement of the effect of propoxane.
Procainamide - reduction of the shock volume of blood.
