    Pharmacodynamics:

    Increases the multiplication of osteoblast precursors and the synthesis of collagen in bone tissue, suppresses the differentiation of osteoclasts, reducing their resorptive activity. Due to the impact on both sides of the metabolism of bone and cartilaginous tissue, the metabolic processes are rebalanced toward osteogenesis. Increases the number of trabeculae and their thickness.

    Pharmacokinetics:

    After oral administration, an empty stomach is absorbed up to 25% in the gastrointestinal tract. The maximum concentration in blood plasma is reached after 3-5 hours. The connection with plasma proteins is 25%.

    The elimination half-life is 60 hours. Elimination by the kidneys and with feces.

    Indications:

    It is used to treat osteoporosis in postmenopausal women.

    Contraindications:

    Individual intolerance.

    Carefully:

    Dosing and Administration:

    Inside on an empty stomach at night, 2 hours after eating, 2 grams 1 time / day.

    Side effects:

    Central and peripheral nervous system: headache, after taking the drug for 4 years - memory loss, convulsions, impaired consciousness.

    Cardiovascular system: after 4 years of admission - venous thromboembolism (rarely).

    Digestive system: stomatitis, nausea, diarrhea.

    Musculoskeletal system: muscle spasms, myalgia, arthralgia, bone pain.

    Dermatological reactions: eczema, dermatitis.

    Allergic reactions.

    Overdose:

    Cases of overdose are not described.

    Treatment is symptomatic.

    Interaction:

    The intake of food rich in calcium (including dairy products) and calcium preparations decreases the bioavailability of the drug.

    Incompatible with the antibiotics of the tetracycline and quinolone series - it forms insoluble complexes in the gastrointestinal tract.

    Special instructions:

    If there is insufficient intake of food, you should take calcium and vitamin preparations D.
