Pharmacodynamics:Increases the multiplication of osteoblast precursors and the synthesis of collagen in bone tissue, suppresses the differentiation of osteoclasts, reducing their resorptive activity. Due to the impact on both sides of the metabolism of bone and cartilaginous tissue, the metabolic processes are rebalanced toward osteogenesis. Increases the number of trabeculae and their thickness.
Pharmacokinetics:After oral administration, an empty stomach is absorbed up to 25% in the gastrointestinal tract. The maximum concentration in blood plasma is reached after 3-5 hours. The connection with plasma proteins is 25%.
The elimination half-life is 60 hours. Elimination by the kidneys and with feces.
Indications:It is used to treat osteoporosis in postmenopausal women.
