    Pharmacodynamics:

    Bacteriostatic of a wide spectrum of action. It is active against reproducing bacteria. Communicating with 30S-subunit of bacterial ribosomes, inhibits the synthesis of proteins of prokaryotes, suspending the process of lengthening the polypeptide chain.

    Binds to chelate complexes bivalent cations of calcium, magnesium, iron and zinc.

    Pharmacokinetics:

    After intravenous administration, the plasma protein is 80% bound. Quickly goes beyond the plasma and is distributed in tissues.

    Metabolism in the liver.

    Half-life is 42 hours. Elimination by the kidneys.
    Indications:

    It is used for the treatment of complicated infections of the skin and soft tissues, pneumonia, with intra-abdominal infections.

    Contraindications:

    Severe hepatic insufficiency, leukopenia, individual intolerance, individual intolerance to tetracycline antibiotics.

    Violations of the functions of the liver.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    Dosing and Administration:

    Intravenously drip for 30-60 minutes. The initial dose is 100 mg, then 50 mg every 12 hours.

    The highest daily dose: 150 mg.

    The highest single dose: 100 mg.

    Side effects:

    Central and peripheral nervous system: headache, dizziness, increased intracranial pressure.

    The hemopoietic system: hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia, neutropenia, eosinophilia.

    Digestive system: dyspeptic disorders, anorexia, abdominal pain, diarrhea.

    Dermatological reactions: photosensitization, skin itching.

    Allergic reactions.

    Overdose:

    Increased side effects.

    Treatment is symptomatic.

    Interaction:

    Reduces the effectiveness of bactericidal antibiotics: penicillins, cephalosporins.

    Absorption decreases with simultaneous use with antacids and iron preparations.

    The concentration of the drug in the blood plasma increases with simultaneous application with chymotrypsin.

    Special instructions:

    When treating the drug is recommended to limit insolation. In order to prevent hypovitaminosis during treatment, it is recommended to take vitamins B and K.
