АТХ:R.03.D.X.03 Fenspiride
Pharmacodynamics:Inhibits phosphodiesterase cAMP and cGMP epithelium of the bronchi, enhancing the hydrolytic activity of the cells, which leads to liquefaction of sputum. Possesses moderate antihistamine action due to blocking of H1-gistaminovyh receptors. Dose-dependently decreases the secretion of viscous mucus by blocking α1adrenoreceptors.
Pharmacokinetics:After oral administration, up to 90% is absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract. The maximum concentration in the blood plasma is achieved 3 hours after the administration of the agent in the form of a syrup and 6 hours after taking intablets.
The half-life is 12 hours. Elimination by the kidneys (90%) and with feces (10%).
Indications:It is used for the treatment of acute and chronic inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract: nasopharyngitis, rhinitis, laryngitis, tracheitis, pharyngitis, bronchitis. Used as a symptomatic in complex therapy for influenza, bronchial asthma, whooping cough and measles.

Dosing and Administration:Use in children
Inside before eating. Children from 2 to 14 years in a syrup in the amount of 4 mg / kg body weight in 2-3 hours.
With a body weight of up to 10 kg: 10-20 ml (2-4 teaspoons);
10-45 kg: 30-90 ml (from 2 to 6 tablespoons).
Adults and children from 14 years of age
Inside, on an empty stomach, 80 mg 2-3 times a day.
The highest daily dose: 80 mg.
The highest single dose: 240 mg.
Side effects:Central and peripheral nervous system: rarely - drowsy.
The cardiovascular system: rarely - tachycardia.
Digestive system: nausea, vomiting.
Allergic reactions.
Overdose:Drowsiness, agitation, sinus tachycardia.
Treatment is symptomatic.
Interaction:With the simultaneous administration of the drug with ethanol, the depressing effect on the central nervous system increases.
