Pharmacodynamics:The action of the drug is similar to the action of menthol: it causes a feeling of coolness and freshness in the mouth and pharynx (with resorption), reduces the unproductive irritating cough. Does not exert a drying effect on the mucous membranes, does not cause a feeling of numbness in the mouth.
When performing medical manipulations in the oral cavity, there may be a urge to vomit. The drug, due to its own calming effect, suppresses these desires.
Pharmacokinetics:The active substance is well absorbed by the mucous surface of the digestive tract. The maximum concentration of acetylaminonitropropoxybenzene in the blood plasma is detected 0.5-1 hour after taking the drug. Due to the high solubility in lipids and low solubility in water, acetylaminonitropropoxybenzene is excreted from the body with urine in a metabolized form.
The concentration of metabolites reaches its maximum value in urine after 2 hours. Within 6 hours the main amount of metabolites is eliminated. After 24 hours in the urine, about 95% of the administered dose is found in the form of metabolites, in terms of the main metabolite - (3- (2-acetamino-4-nitro-phenoxy) propionic acid).
Indications:Inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract (tonsillitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis); inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity (gingivitis, stomatitis); reflex cough (unproductive, irritating); preparation for instrumental studies of the oral cavity and throat, the removal of molds and the fitting of dentures.

Efficacy and safety of use in children have not been studied. The funds for the throat act only on bacteria, so if the inflammatory diseases of the mouth, larynx or pharynx are caused by viruses or fungi, then these drugs will be ineffective.
