    Pharmacodynamics:

    Selectively inhibits xanthine oxidase, interrupting the reaction of purine metabolism. Reduces the concentration of uric acid in the serum of blood plasma.

    Pharmacokinetics:

    After oral administration, up to 80% is absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract. The maximum concentration in the blood plasma is reached after 1-1,5 hours. The connection with plasma proteins is 99%.

    Metabolism in the liver.

    The half-life is 5-8 hours. Elimination with feces and kidneys.

    Indications:

    It is used to treat gout.

    Contraindications:

    Ischemic heart disease, congestive heart failure, age under 18, pregnancy and lactation, individual intolerance.

    Liver failure.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Inside, 80 mg once a day for 2-4 weeks.

    The highest daily dose: 80 mg.

    Side effects:

    Central and peripheral nervous system: insomnia, drowsiness, dizziness, headache, depression, hemiparesis.

    Respiratory system: cough, bronchitis.

    Hemopoietic system: leukopenia, anemia, thrombocytopenia.

    The cardiovascular system: stenocardia, arrhythmias, arterial hypertension.

    Digestive system: nausea, diarrhea.

    Musculoskeletal system: arthralgia, myalgia.

    Dermatological reactions: dermatitis, hives, alopecia.

    urinary system: hematuria, polyuria, renal failure, nephrolithiasis.

    Reproductive system: erectile dysfunction, gynecomastia, mastalgia.

    Allergic reactions.

    Overdose:

    Increased side effects.

    Treatment is symptomatic.

    Interaction:

    Clinically significant interactions are not described.

    Special instructions:

    It is not recommended to begin treatment with exacerbation of gout.
