    Pharmacodynamics:

    Strengthens the inhibitory GABA-ergic effect of the nervous system in helminths, resulting in their immobilization followed by death.

    Effective against strongyloid (Strongyloides stercoralis), which has intestinal localization, as well as microfilariae Wuchereria bancrofti, Onchocerca volvulus and scabies (Sarcoptes scabiei).

    Pharmacokinetics:

    After oral administration, fasted to 60% is absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract. The maximum concentration in the blood plasma is reached after 4 hours. The connection with plasma proteins is 93%.

    Penetrates into breast milk. Metabolism in the liver.

    The half-life is 12-16 hours. Elimination with feces.

    Indications:

    It is used to treat ascariasis, strongyloidiasis, lice, scabies.

    Contraindications:

    Hepatic and renal failure, age under 5 years, pregnancy and lactation, individual intolerance.

    Carefully:

    Epilepsy, meningitis.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    Recommendations for FDA - Category C. Contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Inside, on an empty stomach.

    With onchocerciasis - 0.15 mg once every 12 months;

    With strongyloidiasis, ascariasis, filariasis - 0.2 mg once;

    With pediculosis - 0.2 mg once, repeated intake after 2 weeks.

    The highest daily dose: 0.2 mg.

    The highest single dose: 0.2 mg.

    Side effects:

    Central and peripheral nervous system: dizziness, weakness, tremor.

    Digestive system: indigestion, nausea.

    Dermatological reactions: itching, rash.

    Sense organs: edema of the eyelids, keratitis, anterior uveitis, conjunctivitis, chorioretinitis.

    Allergic reactions.

    Overdose:

    Cases of overdose are not described.

    Treatment is symptomatic.

    Interaction:

    Special instructions:
