    Pharmacodynamics:

    Synthetic antibacterial agent. It disrupts the synthesis of microbial proteins at the level of the ribosomes, by binding to 50Sthe subunit of bacterial ribosomes, inhibits the process of translocation. It penetrates into cells and creates a high intracellular concentration.

    Has a high activity against gram-positive cocci (staphylococci, streptococci).

    Pharmacokinetics:

    After oral administration, up to 91% is absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract. The maximum concentration in the blood plasma is reached after 15 minutes, with intravenous administration - after 1 minute. The connection with plasma proteins is 89%.

    Therapeutic effect develops after the reception. Metabolism in the liver.

    The elimination half-life is 10.6 hours. Elimination with feces and kidneys.

    Indications:

    It is used to treat infections of the skin and soft tissues.

    Contraindications:

    Age under 18, pregnancy and lactation,individual intolerance.

    Carefully:

    Renal and hepatic insufficiency, hypersensitivity.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    Recommendations for FDA - Category C. Contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Inside or intravenously slowly, 200 mg once a day for 6 days.

    The highest daily dose: 200 mg.

    The highest single dose: 200 mg.

    Side effects:

    Central and peripheral nervous system: headache, dizziness, peripheral neuropathy.

    Hemopoietic system: rarely - thrombocytopenia.

    Digestive system: nausea, candidiasis of the mucous membranes of the gastrointestinal tract, diarrhea.

    Sense organs: optic neuritis.

    Reproductive system: Candidiasis of the vagina.

    Allergic reactions.

    Overdose:

    Increased adverse reactions.

    Treatment is symptomatic. Effective hemodialysis.
