    Pharmacodynamics:Selectively blocks the reuptake of serotonin by the presynaptic membrane, which leads to an increase in serotonergic effects in the central nervous system. Binds serotonin receptors of types 5-HT3A, 5-HT7 and 5-HT1D.

    Has a pronounced prokognitivnoy activity. Has antidepressant and anxiolytic effects with a pronounced stimulating effect.

    Pharmacokinetics:After oral administration, fasted to 75% is absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract. The maximum concentration in the blood plasma is reached after 7-11 hours. The connection with plasma proteins is 99%.

    Metabolism in the liver.

    The half-life is 57 hours. Elimination with feces and kidneys in the form of inactive metabolites.

    Indications:It is used in endogenous, reactive and neurotic depressive states.

    Contraindications:Individual intolerance, age to 18 years, pregnancy and lactation.
    Carefully:Closed-angle glaucoma, hepatic insufficiency, chronic renal failure, elderly age, prostatic hyperplasia.
    Pregnancy and lactation:Recommendations for the FDA - Category C. Contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation.
    Dosing and Administration:Inside once a day, regardless of the time of food intake, 10-20 mg.

    Interaction:Co-administration with monoamine oxidase inhibitors leads to confusion, hyperthermia, serotonin syndrome, and death. It is recommended to do a 14-day interval in the application.

    Inhibits the metabolism of astemizole, which can lead to ventricular arrhythmia.

    Simultaneous use with other serotonergic drugs increases the risk of developing serotonin syndrome: fever, hyperhidrosis, central nervous system excitation, hyperreflexia, tremor, myoclonus, loss of consciousness.

    Increases the concentration of tricyclic antidepressants, increasing their toxic effects.

    Special instructions:The abolition of vortioxetin does not cause recoil syndrome, however, with prolonged use at a dose of 20 mg, it is recommended to reduce to 10 mg per day for one week before the drug is completely discontinued.
