Pharmacodynamics:
Due to antidopaminergic activity affects the trigger zones located in the brain stem, suppresses nausea and vomiting in gastrointestinal disorders. Increases the tone and improves the motility of the gastrointestinal tract. Strengthens the secretion of prolactin.
Pharmacokinetics:
After oral administration, up to 70% is absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract. The maximum concentration in the blood plasma is reached after 30 minutes. The connection with plasma proteins is 96%. Penetrates through the blood-brain and placental barrier, is found in breast milk.
Metabolism in the liver.
The half-life is 6 hours. Elimination by the kidneys.
Indications:It is used to treat nausea and vomiting, including radiation therapy. Used in radiocontrast and endoscopic studies of the gastrointestinal tract for suppression of the emetic reflex.

Dosing and Administration:Use in children
