    Pharmacodynamics:

    Antiseptic. Has local antifungal, antibacterial against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, hemostatic effect.

    Pharmacokinetics:

    Not studied for tablets for resorption. With intravaginal administration, an extremely small amount of the drug is absorbed through the vaginal mucosa into the systemic circulation, metabolized in the liver and excreted in unconjugated form through the intestine.

    Indications:

    Candidiasis of nail rollers, oral mucosa, skin. Inflammation of the pharynx and oral cavity (tonsillitis, stomatitis, pharyngitis, glossitis, aphthous stomatitis). Bacterial vaginosis, candidiasis, trichomonas vaginitis, sanitation of the vagina before gynecological operations and childbirth.

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity. Ulcerous lesions of the epithelium of the vagina and cervix.

    It is not recommended the use of dequalinium chloride before the onset of sexual activity.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    Category FDA not determined. Data on use in the I and II trimester of pregnancy and in the period of breastfeeding are absent. It is possible to use during pregnancy for the rehabilitation of the birth canal before delivery.

    If it is necessary to use the drug during lactation, it is necessary to solve the problem of stopping breastfeeding.

    Dosing and Administration:

    External application in the form of ointments or tablets for resorption. The frequency and duration of application are determined by the physician and depends on the indications.

    Locally

    In fungal diseases of the skin: 0.5-1% ointment is rubbed into the lesions 1-2 times a day, the duration of therapy depends on the nature and course of the disease, usually the course of treatment is 1-3 weekate. Treatment is carried out with microscopic control for the presence of fungi in affected areas.

    In inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity and pharynx and with candidal stomatitis: in the form of tablets - 0,15-0,30 mg (1-2 tablets) placed under the tongue or on the cheek and kept until complete resorption,not making possible swallowing movements to medicine stayed longer in the mouth (apply every 3-5 hours, with a serious infection - every 2 hours), in the form of ointment - apply a thin layer, lightly rubbing, on the affected foci 1-2 times a day.

    Intravaginally

    The recommended dosing regimen is 1 vaginal tablet per day. The vaginal tablet is injected deep into the vagina in the evening before going to sleep, lying on your back, slightly bending your legs. During menstruation treatment should be discontinued and continue the previous course after its termination. It is necessary to conduct a full course of treatment (6 days) in order to avoid relapse.

    Side effects:

    Vaginal tablets: very rarely there can be local reactions of irritation (erosion), itching, burning or reddening of the vaginal mucosa. However, these unwanted reactions may also be associated with the symptoms of a vaginal infection.

    Very rarely: fever, allergic reactions.

    Overdose:

    Not described.

    Interaction:

    Inactivated by anionic detergents (including conventional soaps).

    Special instructions:

    Bacteriological control is required during treatment.

    During the treatment of vaginitis, it is recommended to abstain from sexual intercourse. To prevent urogenital reinfection, simultaneous treatment of sexual partners is necessary.
