    Pharmacodynamics:
    The drug has antihistamine, antiallergic, antipruritic effect.
    Blocks H1-gistaminovye receptors, has anti-bradykinin, m-holinoliticheskoe weak and sedative effect. Reduces the severity of the allergic reaction, reduces the permeability of capillaries, itching and so on. Prevents the development of allergic reactions of immediate type and their enhancement, caused by the release of new portions of histamine.
    Pharmacokinetics:Quickly and almost completely absorbed when taken orally. It is subjected to presystemic elimination in the liver, bioavailability is about 70%, binding to plasma proteins is 90%. After ingestion in the form of drops Cmax in the serum is created within 2 hours. After a single intake of 1 capsule prolonged action Cmax is reached within 7-12 hours. It penetrates well into the tissue, passes through the blood-brain barrier.With cutaneous application bioavailability reaches 10%. Partially biotransformed in the liver and excreted, including in the form of inactive metabolites, with urine and bile. The half-life is 6 hours (drops) and 11 hours (prolonged form). After ingestion, the effect develops in 30 minutes and lasts 8-12 hours.
    Indications:
    Inside: endogenous skin itching (with the exception of pruritus with cholestasis), urticaria, eczema, allergic dermatoses, pollinosis, allergic rhinitis, angioedema, food and drug allergies, allergic reactions with specific hyposensitization (treatment and prevention), exanthems in infectious diseases (rubella, measles, chicken pox), insect bites, anaphylactic shock and serum sickness (ancillary).
    Outwardly: itching dermatoses, hives, allergic reactions to insect bites, minor burns (sunny, domestic).

    Contraindications:Hypersensitivity, including other derivatives of alkylamine, neonatal period (especially in preterm), pregnancy (I trimester).
    Carefully:
    Do not use during work drivers of vehicles and people whose profession is associated with increased concentration of attention.
    After applying the gel, insolation of the treated skin areas should be avoided. In pediatric practice, it is not recommended to apply the gel to the vast surfaces of the skin (especially in exudative and inflammatory processes).
    Pregnancy and lactation:Contraindicated in the first trimester of pregnancy, in the II and III trimester is possible only on strict indications, if the expected effect of therapy exceeds the potential risk to the fetus. Avoid the use of the gel in the first trimester of pregnancy, and in II-III trimesters - application to extensive body surfaces (especially in exudative and inflammatory processes). During the period of breastfeeding, it is not recommended to administer orally and apply to large areas of the skin and the nipple area (if necessary, stop breastfeeding).
    Dosing and Administration:
    Inside, adults and children over 12 years - 1-2 mg (20-40 ml of drops) 3 times a day or 4 mg (1 capsule) once a day (before bedtime); single dose for children from 1 month to 12 years depends on age, the frequency of reception - 3 times a day; the duration of treatment should not exceed 25 days.
    Outwardly, the gel is applied a thin layer on the affected area of ​​the skin 2-4 times a day.
    Side effects:
    From the nervous system and sensory organs: fatigue, weakness, drowsiness (especially at the beginning of treatment), dizziness, rarely - headache, agitation (especially in young children), nocturnal sleep apnea (in children under 1 year old).
    On the part of the digestive system: dry mouth or throat, nausea, vomiting, rarely - pain in the stomach, exacerbation of peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum.
    Allergic reactions: rarely - cutaneous allergic reactions.
    Other: rarely - edema, rash, muscle spasm, in isolated cases - violations of the respiratory tract, a feeling of constriction in the chest.
    When using gel: rarely - dryness and burning sensation in the place of application, in rare cases - skin rash and itching.
    Overdose:
    Symptoms: oppression of the central nervous system, drowsiness (mainly in adults),excitation of the central nervous system, ataxia, hallucinations, tonic-clonic convulsions, mydriasis, dry mouth, flushing to the face, urinary retention and fever (mainly in children), hypotension, collapse.
    Treatment: the appointment of activated charcoal, salt laxative, symptomatic therapy to maintain the functions of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems (analeptic drugs are not recommended).
    Interaction:Strengthens the depressing effect on the central nervous system of tranquilizers, hypnotics and alcohol, m-cholinolytic effects of anticholinergics and tricyclic antidepressants (the risk of increasing intraocular pressure increases). Inhibitors monoamine oxidase strengthen anticholinergic and depressing CNS action.
    Special instructions:With a common skin lesion, a combination of topical treatment with oral administration is possible.
