Composition:

5 ml syrup contains:

active substances: retinol palmitate 1.7 Mio ME / g (vitamin A) 900 IU, colcalciferol 1 Mio IU / g (vitamin D3) 100 IU, riboflavin sodium phosphate (vitamin B2) 1 mg, pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6) 0.6 mg, thiamine hydrochloride (vitamin B1) 1 mg, cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12) 1 μg, ascorbic acid (vitamin C) 50 mg, nicotinamide (vitamin PP) 5 mg, dexpanthenol (D-pentenol) 1 mg;

Excipients: agar, gum tragacanth, sucrose, dextrose (glucose) liquid, orange oil, grapefruit flavor, orange flavor, polysorbate 80 (tween 80), citric acid, monohydrate, dye crimson [Ponso 4R] (Е124), sodium benzoate, purified water.

Description:

A thick, viscous liquid, from light yellow to brownish-orange with the smell of citrus and sour taste. Presence of hardly visible inclusions is admissible.

    • Pharmacodynamics:

    Pikovit® syrup for children, contains a complex of vitamins, which are important factors in the metabolic processes in the body.

    Vitamin A participates in the synthesis of various substances (proteins, lipids, mucopolysaccharides) and provides a normal function of the skin, mucous membranes, as well as the organ of vision.

    Vitamin D3 plays an important role in maintaining the balance of calcium and phosphorus in the body. With its lack of bone tissue, the calcium content (osteoporosis) is decreased.

    Vitamin B1 normalizes the activity of the heart and promotes the normal functioning of the nervous system.

    Vitamin B2 promotes the processes of tissue regeneration, including skin cells.

    Vitamin B6 helps maintain the structure and function of bones, teeth, gums; affects the erythropoiesis, promotes the normal functioning of the nervous system.

    Vitamin B12 participates in erythropoiesis, promotes the normal functioning of the nervous system. Vitamins of group B are involved in the formation of various enzymes that regulate the metabolism in the body.

    Vitamin C participates in the oxidation of a number of biologically active substances, regulation of metabolism in connective tissue, carbohydrate metabolism, blood coagulability and tissue regeneration, stimulates the formation of steroid hormones, normalizes the permeability of capillaries. Vitamin C increases the body's resistance to infections, reduces inflammatory reactions.

    Vitamin PP and D-pentenol - Coenzymes involved in the metabolism of protein, in the synthesis of fatty acids and cholesterol, in the production of energy and are necessary for the normal functioning of the central nervous system.

    Indications:

    Pikovit® syrup for children is used as a preventive agent for conditions accompanied by increased demand for vitamins: overfatigue in school-age children, increased physical and neuro-psychological stress; in the absence of appetite and irregular, inadequate or monotonous diet; in the period of recovery after the diseases, to increase the body's resistance to infectious and colds.

    In complex therapy with the use of chemotherapeutic agents.

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

    Diabetes mellitus (Pikovit® syrup for children contains 3 g of sugar in 5 ml of syrup).

    Hypervitaminosis A and D.

    Dosing and Administration:

    The drug is taken internally.

    Children from 1 to 3 years old: 1 teaspoonful 2 times a day (10 ml of syrup per day).

    Children aged 4 to 6 years: 1 teaspoonful 3 times a day (15 ml syrup per day)

    Children aged 7 to 14 years: 1 teaspoonful 3-4 times a day (15-20 ml of syrup per day).

    The syrup can be given from a spoon or mixed with tea, juice or fruit puree.

    In the absence of appetite, the syrup should be given daily for 1 month.

    The repeated course of admission in 1-3 months or on the recommendation of a doctor.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions are possible.

    Do not exceed the recommended daily dose, if you accidentally take high doses, consult a doctor immediately.

    Overdose:

    There were no cases of drug overdose.

    Interaction:

    Vitamin C enhances the effect and side effects of antimicrobial agents from the group of sulfonamides (including the appearance of crystals in the urine).

    Special instructions:

    It is possible to stain urine yellow - completely harmless and due to the presence of riboflavin in the preparation.

    It is not recommended to take Pikovit® together with other preparations containing vitamins.

    5 ml syrup Pikovit ® contains 3.3 g of sucrose, 0.7 g of glucose, so the drug is not recommended for children with congenital intolerance to glucose and fructose, with malaria syndromes of glucose / galactose and sucrose / isomaltose deficiency.

    The drug contains an azo dye E 124, which can cause a hypersensitivity reaction, with an asthmatic component. Similar reactions are more often observed in patients with hypersensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid.

    Benzoic acid has a weakly irritating effect on the skin and mucous membranes.

    Packaging:

    For 100 ml or 150 ml of syrup in a vial of dark glass sealed with a plastic stopper with a liquid dispenser and a plastic lid with the control of the first opening.

    1 bottle per carton, along with a dispensing spoon and instructions for use.

    Storage conditions:

    Store at a temperature of no higher than 25 ° C, in a place protected from light.

    Keep out of the reach of children.

    Shelf life:

    2 years.

    Do not use the drug after the expiration date.
