    Composition:

    Composition per one tablet:

    Active substance: pyrlindole hydrochloride is 25 mg or 50 mg.

    Excipients: for dosage of 25 mg - lactose monohydrate (sugar milk) 50 mg, potato starch 19.2 mg, calcium stearate 0.8 mg, croscarmellose sodium (impellosis) 5 mg; for the dosage of 50 mg - lactose monohydrate (sugar milk) 100 mg, potato starch 38.4 mg, calcium stearate 1.6 mg, croscarmellose sodium (impellosis) 10 mg.

    Description:

    Tablets from almost white to white with a light yellow or greenish tinge, flat-cylindrical, with a facet (for a dosage of 25 mg) and facet and risk (for a dosage of 50 mg).

    Pharmacodynamics:

    Pyrazidol ® has a pronounced antidepressant activity, a feature of its action is the presence of a timoleptic effect with a balanced effect (the activating effect in patients with apathetic, anergic depressions is combined with sedative and anxiolytic action in patients with agitated conditions). Selectively inhibits monoamine oxidase type A (briefly and completely reversible); blocks deamination of serotonin and norepinephrine, to a lesser extent - tyramine; partially inhibits the reuptake of monoamines.Activates the processes of synaptic transmission of nervous excitation in the central nervous system. Relieves the depressive effects of reserpine, enhances the action of the predecessor of norepinephrine - dioxyphenylalanine (L-dofa), stimulates adrenergic structures; potentiates the effects of the precursor of serotonin-5-hydroxytryptophan (stimulates serotonergic structures). Unlike tricyclic antidepressants, it does not have anticholinergic action. It also has a nootropic effect, improves cognitive (cognitive) functions.

    Indications:

    Manic-depressive psychosis, schizophrenia. Depression of various genesis, mainly with psychomotor retardation and asthenic disorders, with an anxiety-depressive or anxious-delirious component. Involutional depression. Alcohol withdrawal syndrome. Alzheimer's disease (as part of complex therapy).

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the drug, acute hepatitis, diseases of the hematopoietic system, administration of monoamine oxidase inhibitors (see "Special instructions").

    Dosing and Administration:

    Inside to 50-75 mg per day in two doses, gradually increasing the dose by 25 to 50 mg to 150 to 300 mg per day.The maximum daily dose is 400 mg divided into 2-3 doses. After achieving the therapeutic effect, the treatment is continued with an individually selected dose for 2-4 weeks, after which the dose is gradually reduced.

    Side effects:

    Dry mouth, sweating, hand tremors, tachycardia, nausea, dizziness, allergic reactions.

    Interaction:

    Pyrazidol® is not prescribed simultaneously with other monoamine oxidase inhibitors, furazolidone, procarbazine, selegiline. Increases the effectiveness of epinephrine (in connection with antimonoaminoksidaznoy activity). Compatible with antipsychotic drugs, anxiolytics.

    Special instructions:

    After the application of monoamine oxidase inhibitors, therapy is started no earlier than 14 days later. The absence of anticholinergic action makes it possible to use glaucoma and prostatic adenoma in patients.

    Tablets 25 mg and 50 mg.

    Packaging:

    For 10 tablets in a planar cell package. 50 tablets in polymer cans.

    1, 2 or 5 contour packs or one jar along with instructions for use in the pack.

    Storage conditions:

    Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C. Keep out of the reach of children.

    Shelf life:
