    Capsules.

    Composition:

    1 capsule contains:

    Active substance. Piyavit (biologically active substances of the salivary glands of medical leeches (Hirudo medicinalis)) 150 mg, 300 mg.

    Excipients. Capsule shell: gelatin, titanium oxide.

    Description:

    Capsules hard gelatinous № 0 and № 00 for a dosage of 150 mg and 300 mg accordingly, the case and a cap - white. Content - amorphous powder from gray to brown with a reddish tinge of color with a specific smell.

    B.01.A.B   Heparin and its derivatives

    Pharmacodynamics:

    Piyavit slows the onset of coagulation and increases the duration of this process. Piyavit blocks both the plasma and platelet links of hemostasis. With a high affinity for collagen, the drug reduces the adhesion of platelets to the subendothelium, has a protective effect on the endothelium. The drug shows fibrinolytic activity, which differs from that of plasmin. Prevents the growth of intravascular blood clots and promotes their absorption, reduces the viscosity of the blood. Thrombolytic effect develops slowly. Piyavit has a moderate anti-inflammatory effect.When thrombophlebitis improves regional blood supply, reduces soreness.

    Indications:

    Thrombophlebitis and phlebitis of superficial veins (treatment and prophylaxis); diabetic micro- and macroangiopathies (as part of complex therapy); traumatic hematoma and edema (including after injections); varicose veins of the lower extremities (including complicated phlebitis and trophic ulcers).

    Contraindications:

    Increased bleeding of mucous membranes; peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum; hemorrhagic diathesis; diseases accompanied by reduced blood coagulability. Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Method of administration and dose. Inside for 300 mg (1 capsule of 300 mg or 2 capsules of 150 mg) 3 times a day. The course of treatment is 10-20 days. Repeated course of treatment after 1-2 months. With the preventive purpose, 150 mg 2 times a day is prescribed.
