Composition:
Tansy flowers.
Characteristic
Flowers tansy contain essential oil, flavone compounds (acacetin, luteolin, quercetin, etc.)bitter substance tanacetin, tannins and other biologically active substances.
Description:

A mixture of non-uniform particles, plant origin, brownish-green or greenish-yellow, passing through a sieve with holes of 2 mm.

The odor is peculiar. The taste of the water extract is spicy, bitter.

    • Pharmacodynamics:

    Infusion of tansy flowers has anthelmintic and choleretic effect.

    Indications:

    As an anthelmintic agent for ascaridosis and enterobiosis.

    As a cholagogue for chronic non-calculous cholecystitis, hypomotor dyskinesia of bile ducts (in complex therapy).

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the drug, cholelithiasis.

    Pregnancy, the period of breastfeeding, age to 18 years.

    Dosing and Administration:

    1 filter bag is placed in a glass or enamel ware, poured into 100 ml (1/2 cup) of boiling water, cover with a lid and insist for 20 minutes, the filter bag is squeezed out, the volume of the infusion is made boiled to 100 ml.

    Infusion is taken orally 15 minutes before meals:

    - as an anthelmintic agent - 1 / 3-1 / 2 cup 2-3 times a day for 3 days, then take a laxative. If necessary, taking the drug can be repeated after 7-14 days;

    - as a cholagogue - 1-2 tablespoons 2-3 times a day.

    Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions are possible.

    Overdose:

    When applying the drug in doses exceeding the recommended, possible overdose phenomena: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.

    Treatment: symptomatic.
