Composition:
Tansy flowers.
Characteristic
Tansy flowers contain essential oil, flavonoids, organic acids and other biologically active substances.
Description:

One-piece flower baskets, individual tubular flowers, flower-tips and pieces of peduncles, passing through a sieve with apertures measuring 7 mm. Color greenish-yellow. The odor is peculiar. The taste of the water extract is spicy, bitter.

    • Pharmacodynamics:

    Infusion of tansy flowers has anthelmintic and choleretic effect.

    Indications:

    As an anthelmintic agent for ascaridosis and enterobiosis.

    As a cholagogue for chronic non-calculous cholecystitis, hypomotor dyskinesia of bile ducts (in complex therapy).

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the drug, pregnancy, the period of breastfeeding, age to 18 years.

    Dosing and Administration:

    About 5 g (1 tablespoon) of flowers are placed in enameled dishes, pour 200 ml (1 glass) of hot boiled water, cover with a lid and heat in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes, cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, filter, the remaining raw material is squeezed. The volume of the infusion obtained is adjusted to 200 ml with boiled water.

    As an anthelmintic agent take inside 1 / 2-1 / 3 cup 2-3 times a day for 15 minutes before meals.

    As a cholagogue take inside 1-2 tablespoons 2-3 times a day for 15 minutes before meals.

    Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.

    Side effects:Allergic reactions are possible.
    Overdose:

    When using the drug in doses exceeding the recommended, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea are possible.

    Treatment: symptomatic.

    Interaction:

    Not described.

    Effect on the ability to drive transp. cf. and fur:

    The use of the drug does not affect the performance of potentially hazardous activities requiring special attention and quick reactions (vehicle management, working with moving mechanisms, dispatcher and operator work).
