Tansy flowers

Characteristic

Tansy flowers contain essential oil, flavone compounds (acacetin,luteolin, quercetin, etc.), bitter substance tanacetin, tannins and other biologically active substances.

Description:One-piece flower baskets, individual tubular flowers, flower-tips and pieces of peduncles, passing through a sieve with apertures measuring 7 mm. Color greenish-yellow. The odor is peculiar. The taste of the water extract is spicy, bitter.

  • Pharmacodynamics:Infusion tansy flowers has anthelmintic and choleretic effect.
    Indications:As an anthelmintic agent for ascaridosis and enterobiosis. As a cholagogue for chronic non-calculous cholecystitis, hypomotor dyskinesia of bile ducts (in complex therapy).
    Contraindications:Hypersensitivity to the drug, cholelithiasis, pregnancy, the period of breastfeeding, age to 18 years.

    Dosing and Administration:About 5 g (1 tablespoon) of crushed flowers are placed in enameled dishes, pour 200 ml (1 glass) of hot boiled water, cover with a lid and heat in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes,cooled at room temperature for 45 minutes, filtered, the remaining raw material was squeezed. The volume of the infusion obtained is adjusted to 200 ml with boiled water.
    As an anthelmintic agent take inside 1/2 cup 2 times a day or 1/3 cup 3 times a day for 15 minutes before meals, for 3 days, then take a laxative. If necessary, taking the drug can be repeated after 7-14 days. As a cholagogue, take 1 to 2 tablespoons 2-3 times a day 15 minutes before meals.

    Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.
    Side effects:Allergic reactions are possible.
    Overdose:When applying the drug in doses exceeding the recommended, possible overdose phenomena: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea. Treatment: symptomatic.
    Interaction:The use of the drug does not exclude the treatment with other drugs.
    Special instructions:The drug has no effect on the ability to perform potentially hazardous activities requiring increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions (including driving, working with moving mechanisms).

    Packaging:Flowers are ground by 50 g, 75 g (at a humidity of 13%) in a pack of cardboard with an internal paper bag and instructions for use.

    Ready to keep the infusion in a cool place for no more than 2 days. Keep out of the reach of children.
    Shelf life:
    3 years.
