Composition:

Plantain leaves are large.

Characteristic

Plantain leaves of large leaves contain mucus, ascorbic acid, vitamin K, tannins and other biologically active substances.

Description:

Pieces of leaf blades and petioles of various shapes. Color from light green to brownish-green with brown, white, yellowish-white and rare purple blotches. The smell is weak. The taste of the water extract is slightly bitter.

    • Pharmacodynamics:

    Infusion of plantain of large leaves strengthens the secretion of bronchial glands, renders mucolytic, anti-inflammatory action, stimulates the secretion of gastric juice, increases its acidity.

    Indications:Inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract (bronchitis, tracheitis, etc.).
    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to plantain large.

    Hyper secretion of gastric juice, peptic ulcer of stomach and duodenum during exacerbation, pregnancy, lactation, children under 12 years.

    Dosing and Administration:

    2 filter packets (3 g) are placed in a glass or enamel ware, pour 100 ml (1/2 cup) of boiling water, cover and insist for 15 minutes, periodically pressing on the bags with a spoon, then squeeze them. The volume of the infusion obtained is adjusted to 100 ml with boiled water.

    Take inside in a warm form for 1/2 cup 2-3 times a day 30 minutes after eating for 7-10 days.

    Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions are possible; in rare cases - heartburn.

    1,5 g of powder in filter bags; for 10 or 20 filter bags in a pack of cardboard.
