Composition:

Wormwood bitter grass contains bitterness (absintine), essential oils, sesquiterpene lactones,flavonoids, tannins.

Description:

A mixture of flower baskets, pieces of stems and leaves of various shapes. The color is greenish gray, silvery-gray with impregnations of yellow, light yellow and whitish color. The smell is fragrant, peculiar, strong. The taste of water extract is spicy-bitter.

    • Pharmacodynamics:

    Infusion of herb wormwood increases the secretion of gastric juice, increases appetite, improves digestion, and has choleretic properties.

    Indications:

    To increase appetite and improve the function of the gastrointestinal tract: hypo- and anacid gastritis; chronic cholecystitis; biliary dyskinesia.

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the drug. Increased gastric secretion, hyperacid gastritis, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, reflux esophagitis, acute cholecystitis, calculous cholecystitis, pregnancy, lactation, children under 12 years.

    Dosing and Administration:

    About 10 g (2 tablespoons) of herbs are placed in enameled dishes, pour 200 ml (1 cup) of boiling water,covered with a lid and heated in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes, cooled at room temperature for 45 minutes, filtered, the remaining raw material was squeezed. The volume of the infusion obtained is adjusted to 200 ml with boiled water.

    Take inside 1/4 cup 3 times a day for 30 minutes before meals.

    The course of treatment is 20-25 days.

    Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions are possible; heartburn, gastralgia, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting (with prolonged use).

    Overdose:

    Symptoms: tremor, headache, dizziness, hallucinations, convulsions.

    Treatment: symptomatic.

    Interaction:

    Not described.

    Effect on the ability to drive transp. cf. and fur:

    Does not affect the management of vehicles and employment of other potentially hazardous activities requiring increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions.
