Description:

Soft capsules from light yellow to beige, oval in shape, containing a semi-liquid homogeneous mass. The contents of the capsules can have a color from yellow to brown.

  • Nystatin in combination with other drugs
    • Pharmacodynamics:

    Combined drug, the effect of which is due to its constituent components. It has antibacterial, bactericidal and antifungal action.

    Neomycin and polymyxin B are active against many gram-negative and gram-positive microorganisms; Streptococcus spp. and anaerobic bacteria are insensitive to these antibiotics.

    Nystatin has a fungicidal effect against fungi of the genus Candida.

    Improves trophic processes in the vaginal mucosa.

    Pharmacokinetics:

    Evenly distributed over the vaginal mucosa, exerting local bactericidal and fungicidal action. Virtually not absorbed from the surface of the vaginal mucosa.

    Indications:

    Treatment

    Infectious-inflammatory diseases caused by sensitive microorganisms: nonspecific, fungal, mixed vaginitis, vulvovaginitis and cervicovaginitis.

    Prevention

    - Preoperative prophylaxis of infectious complications in gynecological interventions;

    - before and after diathermocoagulation of the cervix;

    - before intrauterine diagnostic procedures;

    - before giving birth.

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to any component of the drug.

    I trimester of pregnancy.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    Application during pregnancy in the II and III trimesters is possible only according to the doctor's prescription in those cases when the expected benefit for the mother exceeds the potential risk to the fetus.

    Lactation is a contraindication; if you need to use the drug in this period, breast-feeding is stopped.

    Dosing and Administration:

    For vaginal application.

    Lying on the back, the capsule is injected deep into the vagina in the evening before going to bed. The course of treatment is 12 days. Preventive course 6 days.

    If you miss one or more capsules, resume taking the drug in the usual dose.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions, burning, itching, irritation in the vagina.

    Allergic contact eczema.

    With prolonged use, a systemic manifestation of side effects of aminoglycosides is possible.

    If any of the side effects listed in the manual are aggravated, or if you notice any other side effects not listed in the instructions, tell your doctor.

    Overdose:

    No data.

    Interaction:

    It is not recommended to use in combination with spermicides, t. may decrease the activity of the drug.

    Special instructions:

    Before using the drug, a preliminary smear extraction and bacteriological analysis are necessary.

    The timing of the drug should be limited in order to prevent the formation of resistance to it of certain pathogens and the risk of reinfection.

    During treatment it is not recommended to use caps and condoms from latex.

    Do not interrupt treatment during menstruation.

    Effect on the ability to drive transp. cf. and fur:

    There is no evidence of a negative effect of the drug on the ability to drive vehicles and other mechanisms.

    Vaginal capsules.

    Packaging:

    For 6 capsules in PVC / PVDC, aluminum blisters.

    For 1 or 2 blisters with instructions for use in a cardboard bundle.

    Storage conditions:

    Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C.

    Keep out of the reach of children.

    Shelf life:

    2 years.

    Do not use after the expiration date printed on the package.
