Composition:

For preparation of tincture it is used:

active substance: propolis 100.0 g;

adjuvant: ethanol (ethyl alcohol) 80% is sufficient until 1 l of tincture is obtained.

Description:

Transparent liquid from yellow-brown to red-brown color with a characteristic smell of propolis.

    Has anti-inflammatory and wound-healing effect.

    Indications:

    Microtrauma and superficial damage of skin and mucous membranes, otitis media, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, periodontal disease.

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to bee products, pollinosis, acute eczema, children under 18 years of age.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    Application during pregnancy and during breastfeeding is possible if the expected benefit to the mother exceeds the potential risk to the fetus and the baby.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Outer, topical, inhalation.

    Areas with superficial damage to the skin (microtrauma) treated with a tampon moistened with propolis tincture, 1-3 times a day.

    With chronic purulent otitis after a thorough cleaning from pus in the ear, inject a tampon impregnated with tincture of propolis, 1-2 minutes 2-3 times a day or 1-2 drops in the ear 3-4 times a day.

    With chronic pharyngitis and tonsillitis tincture of propolis oil tonsils 1-2 times a day for 8-15 days. In addition, with chronic tonsillitis, an aqueous solution of propolis tincture in a ratio of 1:20 is used for inhalations. The course of treatment 1-2 inhalations per day for 7-10 days.

    With periodontal disease tincture of propolis is injected in turundas into the periodontal pockets for 5 minutes after a deep curettage.
