Composition:

Chamomile flowers.

Characteristic

Chamomile flowers contain essential oil, flavonoids, coumarins, organic acids and other biologically active compounds.

Description:

Uneven mixture of flower baskets and their parts, passing through a sieve with holes of 5 mm. Separate yellow tubular and white reed florets and their fragments; pieces of crocheting or whole, grayish-green, conical, glabrous, finely-pitched from the outside and hollow inside, sometimes with partially preserved tubular, rarely marginal ligulate flowers and yellowish-green or grayish-green leaves of a wrapper; separate leaves of the envelope oblong-ovate with a blunt apex and a wide filiform margin; pieces of ribbed peduncles from light green to greenish-brown color. The color is greenish-yellow with white, greyish-green and yellowish-brown impregnations. The scent is fragrant. The taste of water extract is spicy, bitter, slightly slimy.

Pharmacodynamics:

Infusion of chamomile flowers has anti-inflammatory, spasmolytic and moderate antimicrobial effect, reduces the processes of fermentation in the intestine and increases the secretion of digestive glands.

Indications:

Applied internally in complex therapy for chronic gastritis, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, chronic enteritis, chronic colitis, flatulence, intestinal spasms, diarrhea.

Locally - for rinses with infectious and inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity and pharynx (pharyngitis, tonsillitis, stomatitis, gingivitis).

In the form of microclystia is used for spastic colitis, hemorrhoids.

Contraindications:Hypersensitivity to the drug.
Pregnancy and lactation:

Application during pregnancy and during breastfeeding is possible. It is necessary to consult a doctor.

Dosing and Administration:

About 10 g (2 tablespoons) of chamomile flowers are placed in enamel ware, pour 200 ml (1 glass) of hot boiled water, cover with a lid and insist on a boiling water bath for 15 minutes, cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, filter, the remaining raw material is squeezed. The volume of the infusion obtained is adjusted to 200 ml with boiled water.

Infusion takes inwards in a warm form 2-3 times a day: adults and children over 12 years of 2-3 tablespoons; children from 6 to 12 years - 1-2 tablespoons; children from 3 to 6 years - 1 tablespoon; children under 3 years - 1 teaspoonful.

For rinsing the mouth and throat apply a 14-1 glass of warm infusion 3-5 times a day in a warm form.

In the form of microclysters Introduce into the rectum to 50 ml of warm infusion 1-2 times a day.

Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions are possible.

Overdose:

Cases of overdose have not been registered to date.
