Sage leaves contain flavonoids, tannins, essential oil, etc.
Description:

A mixture of vegetable particles of green, grayish-green, silver-green, silver-gray color with whitish, yellowish and brownish impregnations. The scent is fragrant. The taste of the water extract is bitterish-spicy, slightly astringent.

    • Pharmacodynamics:

    Infusion of sage leaves has antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and astringent effect.

    Indications:

    In the complex therapy of inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity (stomatitis, gingivitis), pharynx and larynx (angina, pharyngitis).

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the drug; children under 12 years.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    The application is possible if the potential benefit to the mother exceeds the potential risk to the fetus and the baby.

    Dosing and Administration:

    2 filter bags (3 g) are placed in a glass or enamel ware, pour 100 ml (1/2 cup) of boiling water, cover and insist for 30 minutes. Filter packs are squeezed, the volume of the obtained infusion is brought to boiling water to 100 ml.

    Apply topically to rinse in adults and children over 12 years of age 1/2 cup infusion 3-5 times a day in a warm form.

    Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.

    Side effects:Allergic reactions are possible.
    Overdose:

    If used correctly (topically), an overdose is unlikely. Accidental ingestion of high doses (over 15 g of dried leaves) - tachycardia, tinnitus, vomiting, cramps.
