Description:

Pieces of leaves of various shapes and whole leaves with a small number of other parts of the plant (pieces of stems, flowers with pedicels and without them). Color grayish-green, greenish-gray or silvery-white with greenish-brown, light brown, yellowish-white, white, reddish-violet and rare brown impregnations. The scent is fragrant. The taste of the water extract is bitterish-spicy, slightly astringent.

  • Pharmacodynamics:

    The infusion of sage leaves has an antimicrobial, local anti-inflammatory and astringent effect.

    Indications:

    Inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity (stomatitis, gingivitis), pharynx and larynx (sore throat, pharyngitis).

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the drug; children under 12 years.

    Pregnancy, lactation.

    Dosing and Administration:

    About 10 grams (2-3 tablespoons) of leaves are placed in a glass or enamel ware, pour 200 ml (1 glass) of hot boiled water, cover with a lid and heat in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes, then cool 45 minutes at room temperature, filter, the remaining raw material is squeezed. The volume of the infusion obtained is adjusted to 200 ml with boiled water.

    Apply topically to rinse in adults and children over 12 years of age 1 / 2-1 glass of infusion 3-5 times a day in a warm form.

    Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.
