Sage leaves contain essential oils, flavonoids, tannins, triterpenoids, phenolcarboxylic acids, vitamins and other biologically active substances.

Description:

Pieces of leaves of various shapes and whole leaves from 1 to 35 mm in size with a small number of other parts of the plant (pieces of stems, flowers with pedicels and without them), green, grayish-green, silver-green or silvery-gray with whitish and brownish patches , passing through a sieve with holes of 7 mm. The scent is fragrant. The taste of the water extract is bitterish-spicy, slightly astringent.

    Infusion of sage leaves has antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and astringent action.

    Indications:

    In the complex therapy of inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity (stomatitis, gingivitis), pharynx and larynx (angina, pharyngitis, laryngitis).

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the drug, children under 12 years.

    Dosing and Administration:
    About 10 g (3 tablespoons) of leaves are placed in glass or enamel ware, pour 200 ml (1 glass) of hot boiled water, cover with a lid and heat in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes, cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, filter, the remaining raw material is squeezed . The volume of the infusion obtained is adjusted to 200 ml with boiled water.
    Apply topically to rinse in adults and children over 12 years of age 1 / 2-1 glass of infusion 3-5 times a day in a warm form.
