Sage leaves.
Characteristic
Sage leaves contain essential oil (cineole, pinene, camphor, etc.), tannins,flavonoids and other biologically active substances.
Description:

Pieces of leaves, stems, flowers. Color grayish-green, greenish-gray or silvery-white with greenish-brown, light brown, yellowish-white, white, reddish-violet and rare brown impregnations. The scent is fragrant. The taste of the water extract is bitterish-spicy, slightly astringent.

    Infusion of sage leaves has antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and astringent effect.

    Indications:

    In the complex therapy of inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity (stomatitis, gingivitis), pharynx (angina, pharyngitis).

    Contraindications:Individual intolerance.
    Carefully:Pregnancy, lactation.
    Dosing and Administration:

    About 10 g (2 tablespoons) of sage leaves are placed in enameled pots, poured into 200 ml (1 cup) of hot boiled water, covered with a lid and heated in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes, cooled at room temperature for 45 minutes, filtered, the remaining raw material is squeezed.The volume of the infusion obtained is adjusted to 200 ml with boiled water.

    Applied for rinsing the mouth and throat 3-5 times a day in a warm form.

    Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.

    Side effects:Allergic reactions are possible.
