  • Antidiarrhoeal preparations of biological origin regulating the balance of intestinal microflora
    • Pharmacodynamics:

    A drug of bacterial origin regulating the balance of the intestinal microflora.

    The therapeutic effect is due to the immunomodulating and adjuvant activity of bacterial lipopolysaccharide (autolysate of the strain E. coli DSM 17252), affecting the production of specific and nonspecific, including local protection factors.

    Autolysate strain Enterococcus faecalis DSM 16440 contributes to the normalization of microbiocenosis.

    Indications:

    Irritable bowel syndrome.

    Pro-Symbioflor is prescribed to children from age 4 and adults.

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to any of the components of the drug.

    Acute cholecystitis, acute pancreatitis, vomiting, cachexia, exhaustion.

    It is not recommended for people with rare hereditary diseases - intolerance to galactose, deficiency of lactase or glucose-galactose malabsorption.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    During pregnancy and lactation, the drug can be used only after consultation with a doctor.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Before use, shake the bottle vigorously.

    Persons over 12 years of age and adults At the beginning of treatment, Pro-Symbioflor is recommended to take 5 drops a day 3 times a day. Within two weeks, the dose should be increased to 20 drops 3 times a day.

    Possible use of the drug children from 4 years old, the reception should start with a dosage of 5 drops 3 times a day, within 2 weeks the dose is increased to 10 drops 3 times a day and adhere to it in therapy for 4-6 weeks. The course of treatment with the drug up to 8 weeks (depending on the pathological condition). An increase in the duration of the course of treatment is possible by appointment of a doctor. The use of the drug in children is carried out under the supervision of a doctor.

    Side effects:

    In rare cases, flatulence, bloating and pain in the epigastric region, as well as hives and allergic reactions are possible.

    Overdose:

    There were no cases of overdose with the drug.

    Interaction:

    The purpose of the drug does not exclude the use of other drugs used in this disease.

    Special instructions:

    Indication for people following a sodium diet: 10 drops of the drug contain 0.05 moles (1.12 mg) of sodium.
