  • Combination of expectorants
    • Pharmacodynamics:The drug has an expectorant, anti-inflammatory effect, helps reduce the viscosity of phlegm.
    Indications:In the complex therapy of acute and chronic inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract, accompanied by a cough with hard-to-separate sputum (tracheitis, bronchitis, tracheobronchitis).
    Contraindications:Hypersensitivity to the drug components, in patients with a known intolerance to honey and bee products, chronic heart failure (decompensated), liver and kidney disease, congenital fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption, sugarase / isomaltase deficiency; pregnancy, the period of breastfeeding, children under 1 year.

    Carefully:Alcoholism, epilepsy, craniocerebral trauma, brain diseases, diabetes mellitus.
    Dosing and Administration:Inside, after a meal (due to the possibility of reducing appetite).
    Children from 1 year to 5 years - 1 / 2-1 teaspoon 2-3 times a day, from 5 to 10 years - 1-2 teaspoons 3 times a day, 10 to 15 years - 2-3 teaspoons 3 times a day, children over 15 years and adults - 1 tablespoon 3-5 times a day. The course of treatment is 7 days. An increase in the duration and conduct of repeated courses of treatment is possible on the recommendation of a doctor.
    Side effects:Allergic reactions: dyspnea, skin rash, hives, as well as swelling of the face, mouth or throat (angioedema).
    Disorders from the digestive system: spasms, nausea, vomiting.

    Overdose:Until now, there have been no reports of cases of overdose with the use of the drug.
    Interaction:Stoptussin-Fito should not be used concomitantly with drugs containing codeine and other antitussive medicines, as this makes it difficult to cough up thinned phlegm.

    The composition of the drug Stoptussin-Phyto contains 62% sucrose, so it should be used with caution in patients with diabetes mellitus and people on a diet with a reduced carbohydrate content. In 1 teaspoon of the Stopptsin-Fito preparation, up to 3.1 g of sucrose (corresponding to 0.28 XE) is contained, in 1 tablespoon - up to 9.3 g of sucrose (corresponding to 0.85 XE).
    The Stopptsin-Fito preparation contains 3.4% (vol.) Ethanol: 1 teaspoon of syrup (5 ml) contains up to 0.14 g of absolute ethyl alcohol; in 1 tablespoon of syrup (15 ml) - up to 0.41 grams of absolute ethyl alcohol; in the maximum daily dose of the drug Stoptussin-Fito for adults (75 ml) contains up to 2.05 grams of absolute ethyl alcohol.
    Effect on the ability to drive transp. cf. and fur:During the period of taking Stoptussin-Fito, one should refrain from carrying out potentially dangerous activities requiring special attention and quick reactions (driving and other vehicles, working with moving mechanisms, dispatcher and operator work, etc.).
    Form release / dosage:Syrup.
    Packaging:For 100 ml in bottles of dark glass with a measuring cap.
    Each vial with instructions for use is placed in a cardboard box.
