Tablets of flat-cylindrical form with a facet, from greenish gray to gray with a brownish tint of color. Darker and more light inclusions are allowed.

    Combined drug.

    Thermopsis grass has an expectorant effect, having a moderate irritant effect on the receptors of the gastric mucosa, reflexively increases the secretion of the bronchial glands. The thermocapsa alkaloids contained in the grasscytisine, methylcytisine, pachycarpine, anagyrin, thermopsin and thermopsidin) exert a stimulating effect on the respiratory and, in high doses, vomiting centers.

    Sodium bicarbonate stimulates the secretion of bronchial glands, helps to reduce the viscosity of phlegm.

    Indications:

    Diseases of the respiratory tract, accompanied by a cough with hard-to-recover sputum (bronchitis, tracheitis) - as part of complex therapy.

    Contraindications:

    Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug,peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum in the phase of exacerbation, pregnancy and the period of breastfeeding, age to 12 years.

    Do not prescribe the drug for pulmonary diseases with a tendency to hemoptysis (cancer and pulmonary tuberculosis in the presence of bleeding).

    Carefully:

    Patients with diabetes and people on a diet with a low carbohydrate content and low sodium content.

    If you have any of these diseases, consult a doctor before taking the drug.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Inside.

    Adults prescribe 1 tablet 3 times a day for 3-5 days. The maximum single dose for adults (in terms of thermopsis) is 0.1 g (14 tablets), the maximum daily dose is 0.3 g (42 tablets).

    Children over 12 years old - 1 tablet 2-3 times a day for 3-5 days. The expediency of conducting a second course is determined by the doctor.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions, nausea are possible.

    If any of the side effects listed in the manual are aggravated, or if you notice any other side effects not listed in the instructions, inform the doctor about it.

    Overdose:

    Symptoms: nausea, vomiting.

    Treatment: symptomatic.

    Interaction:

    Adsorbents, astringents and enveloping agents can reduce the absorption of alkaloids that make up the herb of thermopsis in the gastrointestinal tract.

    Do not use simultaneously with drugs containing codeine and other antitussive drugs, as this makes it difficult to separate dilute sputum.

    Special instructions:

    To improve liquefaction and separation of sputum, it is recommended to administer a generous warm drink.

    Patients with diabetes mellitus and people on a diet with a reduced carbohydrate diet should take into account that one tablet contains about 0.0279 g carbohydrates (0.0023 XE).

    The use of the drug does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and engage in other potentially hazardous activities that require increased concentration and speed of psychomotor reactions.
