    Pharmacodynamics:

    Combined antitussive.

    Thermoses of lanceolate grass

    Contains essential oils, resins, ascorbic acid, saponins. The composition of thermopsis also contains alkaloids with biological activity: anagyrin, homothermopsin, pachycarpine, thermopsin, cytisine.

    It has an exciting effect on the respiratory center, increases the secretion of the bronchial glands, activates cells of the ciliated epithelium, due to which it exerts an expectorant effect.

    Stimulates secretion of bronchial glands, dilutes sputum.

    Sodium bicarbonate

    It enhances the motility of the ciliated epithelium, increases the secretion of the bronchial glands. Increases the pH of the bronchial secretion, reduces the cough reflex.

    Pharmacokinetics:

    Not studied.

    Indications:

    Used for coughing with difficult separation of sputum. It is used in the complex therapy of bronchitis, tracheitis, pneumonia.

    Contraindications:

    Stomach ulcer and duodenal ulcer, children under 3 years of age, individual intolerance.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    Recommendations for FDA - Category B. It is used in pregnancy and lactation.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Inside, 1 tablet 3 times a day for 3-5 days.

    The highest daily dose in terms of thermopsis: 0.3 g.

    The highest single dose in terms of thermopsis: 0.1 g.

    Side effects:

    Digestive system: nausea, heartburn.

    Allergic reactions.

    Overdose:

    Cases of overdose are not described.

    Treatment is symptomatic.

    Special instructions:

    Due to the sodium bicarbonate content, it has a temporary antacid effect. It should be borne in mind that after the binding of hydrochloric acid, carbon dioxide is formed, which also stimulates the gastric receptors, thereby again stimulating the secretion of hydrochloric acid.
