Composition:

Bearberry leaves.

Characteristic

Bearberry leaves contain arbutin, methylarbutin, hydroquinone, tannins, flavonoids, macro- and microelements and other biologically active substances.

Description:

A mixture of pieces of leaves in a variety of shapes from light green to dark green, passing through a sieve with holes 2 mm in size. The smell is absent. The taste of water extract is strongly astringent, bitterish.

    • Pharmacodynamics:

    Preparations bearberry have anti-inflammatory, diuretic, antiseptic effect.

    Indications:

    In the complex therapy of inflammatory diseases of the urinary bladder and urinary tract (cystitis, urethritis).

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

    Acute renal failure, acute glomerulonephritis, pregnancy, children under 12 years.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    Application in the lactation period is possible if the expected benefit for the mother exceeds the potential risk for the child. It is necessary to consult a doctor.

    Dosing and Administration:

    2 filter packets (3 g) are placed in a glass or enamel ware, pour 200 ml (1 glass) of boiling water, cover with a lid and insist for 15 minutes, periodically pressing on the bags with a spoon, then squeeze them. The volume of the infusion obtained is adjusted to 200 ml with boiled water.

    Take inside 1 tablespoon 3-5 times a day 40 minutes after eating.

    The course of treatment is 20-25 days. It is possible to repeat the course after a 10-12 day break, but not more than 4 courses a year.

    Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.

    Side effects:

    When taking large doses of the bearberry drug or with their long-term use, there may be an exacerbation of inflammatory kidney diseases as a result of prolonged irritation of the renal tubules.

    Allergic reactions are possible; nausea, vomiting, diarrhea; staining the urine in a dark green color.
