Composition:

To prepare 1000 ml of the drug you need:

Valerian rhizomes with roots crushed - 200 g;

Ethyl alcohol (ethanol) 70% - a sufficient amount to obtain 1000 ml of tincture.

Description:Transparent liquid of reddish-brown color, characteristic aromatic odor.

    • Pharmacodynamics:

    Valerian tincture has a moderate sedative effect. The active principle of the preparation is borneol ester and isovaleric acid, free valeric acid. Sedation is slow, but fairly stable. In addition, the drug has an antispasmodic effect on the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract.

    Indications:

    Increased nervous excitability, insomnia, functional disorders of the cardiovascular system, spasms of the gastrointestinal tract.

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, pregnancy, lactation, children under 1 year of age

    Dosing and Administration:

    Take in, before eating, bred in a small amount of water.

    Adults 20-30 drops per appointment 3-4 once a day, children - so many drops at the reception, how old the child is.

    Side effects:

    Possible lethargy, weakness, drowsiness, depression, decreased performance (especially when used in high doses), with prolonged use - constipation.

    Interaction:

    The drug enhances the effect of hypnotics and other medications that depress the central nervous system, as well as antispasmodics.

    With prolonged use in large doses, it is possible to reduce psychomotor reactions, which should be taken into account when driving vehicles, working with mechanisms, etc.

    To 25, 30 ml in bottles of orange glass, or 15, 25 ml in bottles-droppers of orange glass.
