    Pharmacodynamics:Pycloxidine - a derivative of biguanides, an antimicrobial agent, has an antiseptic effect. Active with respect to Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus faecal is, Escherichia coli, Eberthella typhosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Proteus vulgaris, Shigella dysenteria, Bacillus subtilis, Chlamidia trachomatis; some viruses and fungi.
    Pharmacokinetics:With topical application, systemic absorption is low.
    Indications:Adults and children from 0 years old

    - bacterial infections of the anterior part of the eye;

    - Dacryocystitis;

    - prevention of infectious complications in the postoperative period after surgical interventions in the field of the anterior part of the eye.

    Contraindications:Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug.
    Pregnancy and lactation:Since the use of the drug during pregnancy and during lactation has not been studied, Vitabakt® is not recommended for pregnant and lactating women.
    Dosing and Administration:For treatment bacterial infections Bury 1 drop of the drug in the conjunctival sac 2-6 times a day. Duration of treatment is 10 days. Expediency and the need to extend the duration of treatment> 10 days should be determined by the doctor.

    In the postoperative period Bury 1 drop of Vitabact in the conjunctival sac 3-4 times a day.

    For prevention of postoperative complications (preoperative preparation) instill 1-2 drops of the drug into the conjunctival sac immediately before surgery.

    Side effects:In rare cases, allergic reactions are possible in the form of conjunctival hyperemia.
    Interaction:If it is necessary to instill several drugs into the conjunctival sac, the preparations should be applied separately with an interval of at least 15 minutes.
    Special instructions:Vitabact eye drops are produced in a sealed polyethylene bottle with a dropper; pipettes are not required for their instillation. To open the bottle, it is necessary to screw the lid all the way to the stop, while the thorn on its inner side must pierce the dropper.

    To instill eye drops, the patient's head needs to be thrown back a bit,the patient's eyes should be pointed upward. The drug is instilled in the lower conjunctival sac, gently pulling the lower eyelid.

    To prevent contamination of the drug solution during instillation, patients should avoid contact with the tip of the dropper with the eye and skin.

    Do not use eye drops Vitabakt for subconjunctival injections or enter into the anterior chamber of the eye.

    Eye drops Vitabactum does not change the color of contact lenses (including soft hydrophilic), however, in case of infectious diseases of the eyes, contact lens wear is contraindicated.
