Pharmacodynamics:

Metabolic preparation. It is a regulator of tissue metabolism, increases oxidation-reduction processes, the formation of ATP, which determines its anti-hypoxic and antioxidant properties, and the ability of the drug:

- activate the functions of organs and tissues,

- increase the reactivity of the body,

- improve mental and physical performance,

- to improve the course of pregnancy, growth and development of the fetus,

- strengthen the secretion of gastric juice, the formation of hydrochloric acid, increase appetite,

- reduce the toxic effect of alcohol.

The effect of the drug manifests itself 10-20 minutes after ingestion.

Pharmacokinetics:

Amber and citric acids are completely metabolized to water and carbon dioxide, there is no accumulation in the body.

Indications:
  • Increase in the nonspecific reactivity of the pregnant women's organism, improvement of adaptive and compensatory-protective capabilities in order to prevent complications during hypoxia and fetal hypotrophy, with miscarriage.
  • Prevention of intoxication.
  • Reducing the toxic effect of alcohol in acute alcohol intoxication of mild to moderate severity and post-toxication disorders.
  • Complex therapy of drinking states in patients with chronic alcoholism and with asthenovegetative disorders (pronounced general weakness, decreased efficiency, appetite) in the period of alcohol withdrawal syndrome.
  • As a "trial breakfast" in the study of secretory and acid-forming functions of the stomach.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity; arterial hypertension; ischemic heart disease (including angina pectoris); glaucoma; peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum in the stage of exacerbation; late gestosis (severe form).

Carefully:

In people prone to hypertension, after taking the drug may increase blood pressure.

Efficacy and safety of use in children have not been studied.

Pregnancy and lactation:

It is used during pregnancy according to the indications.

There is no information on the penetration into breast milk.

Dosing and Administration:

Inside before meals. Before taking the tablet, grind and dissolve in water with drinking soda (soda at the tip of the knife). For dissolution, mineral water can be used.

Pregnant women are prescribed 1 tablet per day for 10 days in the first trimester (at the gestation period of 12-14 weeks) and in the second trimester (gestation period 24-26 weeks). In the III trimester appoint for 10-25 days before childbirth. The total dose of the drug during pregnancy is 5-7.5 g.

As a means for the prevention of intoxication - 1 tablet of the drug for 20-60 minutes before taking alcohol.

In a state of acute alcohol intoxication, the drug is prescribed 1 tablet 2-4 times a day at intervals of 1-2.5 hours.

When cupping drinking states, 1 tablet is prescribed 3-4 times a day for 4-10 days, both alone and in combination with traditional medicines.

In appointing as a "test breakfast" for the study of secretory and acid-forming function of the stomach, one tablet is taken into the stomach on an empty stomach, previously dissolved in 10-15 ml of water.

When there is a feeling of heaviness in the epigastric region, prescribe after eating.

Side effects:

Perhaps the appearance of pain in the epigastric region (usually these phenomena pass independently after 3-5 minutes), increased secretion of gastric juice. In people prone to hypertension, after taking the drug may increase blood pressure.

Overdose:

Not described. Treatment is symptomatic.

Interaction:

The combination of succinic acid with citric acid weakens the action of barbiturates, hypnotics, tranquilizers.

Special instructions:

It is necessary to monitor liver function.
