Pharmacodynamics:

Destroys the membranes of bacteria, causing their death. It has bactericidal action against gram-positive and gram-negative flora: streptococcus, Escherichia coli, protea. Strikes spores anthrax. It shows fungicidal activity against pathogenic fungi and yeast. Not active against Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

Pharmacokinetics:

Antiseptic for external use, systemic action on the body does not have.

Indications:

It is used for the treatment of chronic tonsillitis, chronic purulent otitis, chronic atrophic rhinitis (oes), chronic periodontitis. Used for purulent surgical diseases, trophic and varicose ulcers, thermal and chemical burns, for antiseptic treatment of the operating field.

Thyrotoxicosis, herpetiform dermatitis, individual intolerance.

Pregnancy and lactation:

Dosing and Administration:

Outer, after dilution in a ratio of 1: 4.5 in distilled water.

The surgical field is treated twice before the incision and the edge of the wound before suturing.

Overdose:

With prolonged use, symptoms of "iodism" are observed: skin rashes, rhinitis.

Treatment is symptomatic.

Interaction:

Pharmacologically incompatible with enzymes, alkaline solutions, mercury preparations, reducing agents.

Special instructions:

It is used in a hospital. At temperatures above 40 °With and under the influence of direct sunlight active iodine passes into iodide-ion - the color of the solution pales, the effectiveness of the solution is lost.
