Dosage form: & nbspspray for topical application

Composition:

Active substances: povidone-iodine 2.550 g, allantoin 0.030 g.

Excipients: levomenthol 0.300 g, citric acid monohydrate 0.060 g, sodium citrate dihydrate 0.060 g, ethanol 96% 6.00 g, propylene glycol 9.00 g, water purified to 30.00 ml.

Description:

Transparent or slightly opalescent liquid of red-brown color, unlimitedly miscible with water.

Pharmacodynamics:

Combination drug for topical use in diseases of the oral cavity and ENT organs. In contact with skin or mucous membranes, iodine; has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory effect.

The drug has a wide range of antimicrobial effects.

It is active against bacteria, fungi, viruses, protozoa.

Indications:

1. Infectious-inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity and pharynx: including tonsillitis, tonsillitis, tonsilopharyngitis, glossitis, stomatitis, aphthae;

2.For treatment of the oral cavity and pharynx with surgical interventions on the respiratory tract and oral cavity and in the postoperative period;

3. To treat infections of the mouth and throat that occur during chemotherapy;

4. When streptococcal angina is used as an additional remedy for antibiotic treatment.

Contraindications:

- Hypersensitivity to iodine and other components of the drug;

- pregnancy and the period of breastfeeding;

- children under 8 years;

- dysfunction of the thyroid gland (hyperthyroidism);

- heart failure;

- herpetiform dermatitis of Dühring;

- simultaneous use of radioactive iodine.

Dosing and Administration:

Locally.

Instructions for patients on the use of applicators:

The dispensed distribution of the drug from the vial is carried out using a mechanical sprayer and an applicator (see Figure A1 or A2)

1. If the applicator is placed in a plastic bag, remove it from the bag using scissors or a similar tool (see Figure B2)

2. Check the integrity of the applicator. If the applicator is damaged, its use is prohibited.

3. Remove the protective cover from the mechanical sprayer.

4. Place the applicator on the bottle (see Figure B3).

5. Press 2-3 times to allow the solution to pass through the nebulizer, and then spray the drug. Place the tube of the applicator for 2 - 3 cm in the mouth, hold your breath and press the applicator 2 times, with the first press, spray the drug in the right side, and the second - in the left. When spraying, hold the bottle in an upright position.

Before use, rinse applicators with hot water and always check their integrity. Do not use a damaged applicator. Use the drug "Yoks" - Teva spray is recommended 2-4 times a day.

If necessary, the drug can be used more often, every 4 hours.

Side effects:

The drug Yoks® - Teva spray is usually well tolerated.

In some cases, there may be reactions of hypersensitivity to the drug and the manifestation of an allergic reaction to iodine (itching, congestion), which requires the withdrawal of the drug.

Prolonged use of the drug may cause a phenomenon of iodism (including: metallic taste, excessive salivation, swelling of the eyes or larynx), when it appears, stop using the drug and consult a doctor.

Interaction:

It is not recommended simultaneous use of the preparation JOX®-Teva with other antiseptic agents intended for topical application in the oral cavity and pharynx, especially containing hydrogen peroxide, due to inactivation of the drug.

Special instructions:

Not intended for oral administration.

Do not inhale or swallow the drug.

Form release / dosage:

Spray for topical application.

Packaging:

For 30 ml in vials of PE (polyethylene) or PET (polyethylene terephthalate), equipped with a mechanical sprayer and a lid, which protects the nebulizer. Each bottle, complete with an applicator, is placed in a cardboard box with instructions for use.

Applicator can be both in a polyethylene bag, and without it.

Storage conditions:

At a temperature of 10 ° C to 25 ° C in a dark place.

Keep out of the reach of children.

Shelf life:

4 years.

Do not use after the expiry date printed on the package!
