    • Pharmacodynamics:
    Combined drug.

    It has a cholekinetic and choleretic effect, reduces the processes of putrefaction and fermentation in the intestine. Strengthens the secretory function of liver cells, reflexively increases secretory and motor activity of the organs of the gastrointestinal tract, binds toxic substances.Pharmacokinetics: the drug is well absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract. Cholic and chenodeoxycholic acid, contained in the preparation, undergo 7-alpha-dehydroxylation in the intestine. Chenodeoxycholic acid, in addition, is metabolized in the liver: conjugated to amino acids, secreted in bile, whence it is again released into the intestine, then partially reabsorbed; the rest is excreted with feces.
    Indications:Chronic reactive hepatitis, cholangitis, noncalculous cholecystitis, biliary dyskinesia, postcholecystectomy syndrome, chronic atonic constipation (as part of complex treatment).
    Contraindications:Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug, calculous cholecystitis, obstructive jaundice, acute hepatitis, acute and subacute liver dystrophy, gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer (in the acute phase), acute enterocolitis, acute pancreatitis; deficiency of sugar / isomaltase, intolerance to fructose, glucose-galactose malabsorption; children's age till 18 years.

    Carefully:Patients with diabetes mellitus and people on a diet with a reduced carbohydrate content.
    Pregnancy and lactation:It is not recommended for use in pregnancy and during breastfeeding because of the lack of specific safety data for this category of patients.
    Dosing and Administration:Inside, 1-2 tablets 3-4 times a day after meals. The course of treatment is 3-4 weeks. With exacerbation of biliary dyskinesia take 1 tablet 2-3 times a day for 1-2 months. Repeated courses of treatment are carried out with an interval of 3 months.
    Side effects:
    Allergic reactions, diarrhea are possible.

    Interaction:
    Simultaneous use of the drug with choleretics of synthetic or plant origin enhances bile formation; combination of the drug with laxative drugs leads to the elimination of constipation; the drug promotes a better absorption of fat-solublevitamins; application of the drug with antiseptics or chemotherapeutic agents for infectious processes in the liver or biliary tract improves the therapeutic effectiveness of the latter.

    It is inappropriate to simultaneously take with preparations containing aluminum hydroxide, colestramine, colestipol, which reduce absorption (and reduce the effect).
    Special instructions:Patients with diabetes should take into account that one tablet of the drug contains about 0.2 grams of carbohydrates (0.017 XE). In cholelithiasis, the drug is used with caution, only after consulting a doctor and conducting an ultrasound.
    The use of the drug does not affect the performance of potentially hazardous activities requiring special attention and quick reactions (vehicle management, working with moving mechanisms, dispatcher and operator work, etc.).
