АТХ:A.09.A.C.01 Pepsin and acid-containing preparations
Pharmacodynamics:Pepsin and hydrochloric acid (formed as a result of hydrolysis of betaine hydrochloride) increase the acidity of gastric juice, have proteolytic properties, which promotes digestion in the stomach.
Pharmacokinetics:There is no data on the pharmacokinetics of the drug.
Indications:Hypo- and anacid gastritis, Achilles, dyspepsia.
Contraindications:Hypersensitivity, hyperacidity of gastric juice (including peptic ulcer of stomach and duodenum, erosive gastroduodenitis).
Carefully:Use in children with caution.
Pregnancy and lactation:The category of FDA recommendations is not defined. Adequate and well-controlled studies on humans and animals have not been conducted. Do not use when pregnant and breast-feeding.
Dosing and Administration:Inside, during or after a meal, previously dissolved in 50-100 ml of water. Adults - 0.5 g 3-4 times a day, children - 62.5-125 mg (1/4 tablets of 0.25 mg) 3-4 times a day.
Side effects:Allergic reactions, heartburn, gastralgia.
Overdose:Not described.
Treatment is symptomatic.
Interaction:Betaine, alkalinizing urine, can reduce the activity of antibiotics in the urine.
Special instructions:It is not represented in the US pharmacopeia.
