    Composition:
    Each tablet contains as an active substance dimebon (dimethylmethylpyridinylethyl tetrahydrocarboline dihydrochloride) -10 mg.
    Excipients: lactose (milk sugar), potato starch, calcium stearate (calcium stearic acid), talc (magnesium hydrosilicate).
    Description:Tablets are white or white with a yellowish tint of color.

    Pharmacodynamics:It blocks H1 -gistaminovye receptors, reduces spasm of smooth muscles, permeability of capillaries, prevents the development of histamine edema, reduces flushing and itching and, thus, prevents the development and facilitates the course of allergic reactions. Oppresses the central nervous system, causes a mild sedative effect, has a weak anticholinergic and antiserotonin activity.
    Pharmacokinetics:
    The drug is rapidly absorbed; the maximum concentration is achieved after 1.5 hours.Easily penetrates into organs and tissues, especially well supplied with blood (liver, kidneys, lungs, spleen). Penetrates through the blood-brain barrier. Quickly excreted from the body. The half-life of plasma is 1.4-2.3 hours. After 6-7 hours is not found in the blood, organs and tissues or is there in trace amounts.

    Indications:Allergic diseases: pollinosis (hay fever), food and drug allergies, Quincke's edema, allergic rhinitis, itching dermatoses (neurodermatitis and eczema).
    Contraindications:Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. Children under 5 years. Pregnancy, lactation.
    Dosing and Administration:Inside, regardless of food intake. Adults appoint 10-20 mg 2-3 times a day. Depending on the severity of allergic reactions, the course of treatment is 5-12 days. Children over 5 years of a single dose of 10 mg, daily dose of 20-40 mg. The course of treatment is 5-12 days.
    Side effects:Dry mouth, sensation of "numbness" of the oral mucosa, sedative effect, accompanied by general lethargy, drowsiness, dizziness, impaired coordination of movement and decreased concentration of attention.Possible violations of urination, allergic reactions, irritating effect on the mucosa of the gastrointestinal tract.
    Overdose:
    Symptoms: depression of the central nervous system, dry mouth, fixed dilated pupils, lowering the tone of the smooth muscles of the intestine.
    Treatment: Gastric lavage, the appointment of activated charcoal, symptomatic therapy.
    Interaction:Sleeping pills, tranquilizers, neuroleptics, narcotic analgesics increase the sedative effect of Dimebon.
    Special instructions:During treatment with Dimebon it is necessary to refrain from engaging in potentially dangerous activities that require an increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions.
