    D.11.A.X   Other preparations for the treatment of skin diseases

    Pharmacodynamics:Dermatoprotective agent. Stimulates skin regeneration, enhances the division of skin epithelial cells, inhibits keratinization, hinders the development of hyperkeratosis. Local action is due to the presence on the cell surface of the epithelium of specific retinol-binding receptors.
    Pharmacokinetics:Easily penetrates the skin, Cmax active substances in the blood is achieved 3-4 hours after application and is maintained for 12 hours. The half-life is 5.5 hours.
    Indications:Ichthyosis, hyperkeratosis, seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis, pyoderma, atopic dermatitis, neurodermatitis, eczema, frostbite, burns, erosion, ulcers, cracks, skin atrophy after prolonged use of glucocorticosteroids.

    Contraindications:Hypersensitivity, hypervitaminosis A, pregnancy (I trimester), acute inflammatory skin diseases, lactation period (it is not recommended to apply to the skin of the mammary glands).
    Carefully:Simultaneously with other external means containing retinol.
    Pregnancy and lactation:
    The drug is contraindicated in the first trimester of pregnancy.
    During lactation (breastfeeding) is not recommended to apply to the skin of the mammary glands.
    Dosing and Administration:
    Ointment should be applied to the affected skin with a thin layer 2 times a day (morning and evening). Duration of use is 4-12 weeks.
    Side effects:
    Local reactions: increased itching, hyperemia.
    Possible: allergic reactions.
    The appearance of these side effects requires the withdrawal of the drug.
    Overdose:To date, there is no evidence of an overdose of the drug. Overdose is extremely unlikely. Symptomatic therapy should be given.
    Interaction:
    Do not use in combination with other drugs containing vitamin A and retinoids, to avoid hypervitaminosis A.
    It is not compatible with tetracycline antibiotics.
    Special instructions:During lactation (breastfeeding) is not recommended to apply to the skin of the mammary glands.
