Description:

Dragee, covered with a shell of red color (vitamins): round, biconvex dragees, covered with a shell of red color.

Dragee, coated with a blue color (minerals): round, biconvex dragees, covered with a shell of blue color.

Pharmacotherapeutic group:multivitamin agent + minerals
Pharmacodynamics:

A combined preparation containing a complex of 11 vitamins and 8 minerals, which are important factors in metabolic processes.

One red and blue dragee contain vitamins and minerals in quantities that satisfy the daily needs of the body. For better assimilation of the vitamin-mineral complex and preservation of the activity of the main components, vitamins and minerals are separated in pills of different colors. Vitamins are contained in a dragee of red color, minerals - in a dragee of blue color.

Vitamin A participates in the synthesis of various substances (proteins, lipids, mucopolysaccharides) and provides a normal function of the skin, mucous membranes, as well as the organ of vision.

Vitamin D3 plays an important role in maintaining the balance of calcium and phosphorus in the body. With its deficiency in stagnant tissue, the calcium content (osteoporosis) decreases.

Vitamin B1 normalizes the activity of the heart and promotes the normal functioning of the nervous system.

Vitamin B2 promotes the processes of tissue regeneration, including skin cells.

Vitamin B6 helps maintain the structure and function of bones, teeth, gums; affects the erythropoiesis, promotes the normal functioning of the nervous system.

Vitamin B12 participates in erythropoiesis, promotes the normal functioning of the nervous system. B vitamins participate in the formation of various enzymes that regulate different types of metabolism in the body.

Folic acid stimulates erythropoiesis.

Vitamin E is a natural antioxidant. It prevents the increased coagulability of blood and favorably affects the peripheral circulation. Participates in the synthesis of proteins and hemoglobin, in the process of cell growth, the functions of skeletal muscles, heart and blood vessels, the sex glands.

Vitamin C participates in the oxidation of a number of biologically active substances, regulation of metabolism in connective tissue, carbohydrate metabolism, blood coagulability and tissue regeneration, stimulates the formation of steroid hormones, normalizes the permeability of capillaries. Vitamin C increases the body's resistance to infections, reduces inflammatory reactions.

Calcium participates in the formation of bone tissue, blood coagulability, transmission of nerve impulses, reduction of skeletal and smooth muscles, normal heart function. It also promotes the absorption of iron.

Magnesium participates in the formation of muscle and bone tissue, and also takes part in the synthesis of protein.

Iron is part of the hemoglobin molecule, participates in the transfer of oxygen in the body and prevents the development of anemia.

Phosphorus, along with calcium, participates in the formation of bones and teeth, and also participates in the processes of energy metabolism.

Manganese promotes the mineralization of bones.

Copper is necessary for the normal function of red blood cells and iron metabolism.

Zinc is necessary for the regeneration of tissues, is part of some hormones, including insulin.

Indications:

As a preventive agent for conditions accompanied by increased demand for vitamins and minerals:

- increased physical activity, including during active sports;

- period of pregnancy and lactation;

- with irregular, malnutrition or a monotonous diet.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Pregnancy and lactation:

During pregnancy and lactation, the drug can be used as directed by a doctor.

Dosing and Administration:

The drug should be taken orally after breakfast.

Adults and children over 10 years of age 1 dragee of red color and 1 dragee of blue color per day. Dragee should be swallowed whole, with a small amount of water.

The course of taking the drug 20 days. The course of taking the drug can be repeated after a break (1-3 months) or on the recommendation of a doctor.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions are possible, including hypersensitivity reactions with an asthmatic component.

Overdose:

Cases of overdose when taking the drug in recommended doses are not noted. With a significant excess of recommended doses, cases of hypervitaminosis A and D, headache, disorders of the gastrointestinal tract (vomiting, diarrhea) are possible.

Interaction:

The drug contains iron and calcium and therefore delays absorption in the intestine of antibiotics from the group of tetracyclines, as well as antimicrobial agents - derivatives of fluoroquinolones.

Vitamin C enhances the effect and side effects of antimicrobial agents from the group of sulfonamides (including the appearance of crystals in the urine).

Antacid preparations containing aluminum, magnesium, calcium, and cholistermamine reduce iron absorption. Therefore, if you need the joint appointment of Duovit® and antacid preparations, it is necessary to maintain an interval between doses of at least 3 hours.

With the simultaneous administration of diuretics from the group of thiazides, the likelihood of hypercalcemia increases.

Do not take Duovit ® together with other products containing vitamins and minerals.

Special instructions:

It is possible to stain urine yellow - completely harmless and due to the presence of riboflavin in the preparation.

Patients with diabetes, you need to know that each tablet contains 0.8 g of sugar, and the daily dose of the drug contains 1.6 g of sugar.

Red and blue Douvit® contains 331 mg of lactose, 1083 mg of sucrose, 270 mg of glucose, 237 mg of sorbitol, therefore it is not recommended for patients with congenital glucose and fructose intolerance, with glucose / galactose malabsorption syndromes and sucrose / isomaltose deficiency.

The preparation contains glycerol, with overdose possible - headache and disorders of the gastrointestinal tract (diarrhea, vomiting). Azo dyes E 124 and E 110 can cause hypersensitivity reactions with the asthmatic component. Hypersensitivity reactions to the drug are possible in patients with hypersensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid.

Red beans contain polyol (mannitol), which in high doses can cause diarrhea.

Do not exceed the recommended daily dose, if you accidentally take high doses, consult a doctor immediately.
