    Pharmacodynamics:

    The active component of the drug is Echinacea dry extract obtained from the herb of Echinacea purpurea family of astroids (Compositae). The main active ingredients of the drug are derivatives of oxycinnamic acids (mainly chicory acid), polysaccharides, isobutyl amides and glycoproteins.

    Echinacea stimulates the activity of the cellular and humoral links of the immune system.The drug increases the phagocytic activity of neutrophils and macrophages, potentiates the production of interleukin-1 by macrophages, induces the transformation of B-lymphocytes into plasma cells, enhances antibody formation, B- and T-lymphocyte cooperation, and T helper activity.

    Indications:

    Treatment and prevention of diseases accompanied by immunodeficiency states, including chronic recurrent inflammatory diseases (chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, ENT diseases) with ineffectiveness or insufficient effectiveness of antibacterial and anti-inflammatory therapy.

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug and plants of the family of astroids (Compositae); progressive systemic diseases (tuberculosis, leukemia, collagenosis, rheumatism, multiple sclerosis, autoimmune diseases, widespread atherosclerosis); AIDS, HIV infection, immunosuppression (including cytostatic antitumor therapy, organ or bone marrow transplantation in anamnesis); blood diseases (agranulocytosis, leukemia); pregnancy,the period of breastfeeding; age to 18 years; lactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, glucose-galactose malabsorption.

    Patients with diabetes mellitus.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    You should not prescribe the drug during pregnancy and during breastfeeding, since the safety of the drug in these situations has not been studied.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Inside after eating 1-2 tablets 3 times a day.

    In the phase of exacerbation of the disease the drug is prescribed in combination with antibacterial therapy 2 tablets 3 times a day for 5 days, then 1 tablet 3 times a day for 10 to 20 days, depending on the nature and severity of the disease.

    In the phase of remission the drug is prescribed for 1-2 tablets 3 times a day for 10-20 days.

    If necessary, the course of treatment can be repeated after 2-3 weeks.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions are possible (skin flushing, skin rash, face swelling), shortness of breath, sweating, lowering of blood pressure.

    In case of side effects, stop taking the medication and consult a doctor.

    Overdose:

    Until now, no cases of overdose with the use of the drug have been reported.

    Interaction:

    It is possible to use simultaneously with antibiotics and other antimicrobial drugs.

    Incompatible with immunosuppressors.

    Simultaneous use with cytokines can enhance their effect.

    Special instructions:

    Patients with diabetes should take into account that the carbohydrate content in a single dose of the drug (1 tablet) corresponds to 0.018 XE.

    The drug does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and engage in other potentially hazardous activities that require increased concentration and speed of psychomotor reactions.

    For 10 tablets in a contour mesh box made of polyvinylchloride film and aluminum foil printed lacquered.
