    Composition:

    For one tablet:

    active substances: glycine 70 mg, L-glutamic acid 70 mg, L-cystine 70 mg;

    Pharmacodynamics:

    Eltacin® is a combined preparation that contains a mixture of interchangeable amino acids: glycine, glutamic acid and cystine, which are regulators of metabolism: increasing the intracellular concentration of glutathione and the activity of glutathione-dependent enzymes that normalize redox processes and oxygen utilization in tissues, whereby the drug:

    - shows antioxidant (reducing the content of free radicals, peroxide compounds, malonic dialdehyde) and antihypoxic (increasing the body's resistance to oxygen deficiency, enhancing the synthesis of adenosine triphosphate (ATP)) action;

    increases the contractility of the myocardium;

    - increases physical efficiency;

    - improves the quality of life of patients with chronic heart failure (increasing social adaptation, improving the psychoemotional state);

    - accelerates the restoration of efficiency after intensive physical exertion in children.

    Indications:

    Chronic heart failure of I-III functional class according to NYHA classification in adults (on the background of standard therapy).

    Chronic heart failure of I-II functional class according to NYHA classification in children aged 12 to 18 years (against standard therapy).

    Syndrome of autonomic dysfunction in children aged 12 to 18 years.

    Prophylaxis of chronic physical overstrain and recovery after intensive physical exertion when playing sports in children aged 11 to 15 years.

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the drug, children under 11 years of age (efficacy and safety not established).

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    Clinical studies of the use of the drug in pregnant women and during lactation were not conducted.

    Not recommended for use during pregnancy and lactation.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Sublingually. The tablet can also be chewed and held in the mouth under the tongue until completely dissolved.

    Chronic heart failure of I-III functional class according to NYHA classification in adults: 1 tablet 3 times a day, sublingually, the course of treatment for 1 to 3 months, depending on the severity of the disease, repeated courses are appointed on the recommendation of a doctor.

    Chronic heart failure of I-II functional class according to NYHA classification in children aged 12 to 18 years: 1 tablet 3 times a day sublingually, the course of treatment for 1 to 3 months, depending on the severity of the disease; repeated courses are appointed on the recommendation of a doctor.
