    Pharmacodynamics:

    Eucalyptus tincture contains in its composition tannins, ellagic acid, flavonoids, resins, wax, essential oil, which includes various terpenic compounds, especially active against gram-positive,Gram-negative microorganisms having a harmful effect on fungi and protozoa.

    Eucalyptus inhibits the growth of Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia, tuberculous mycobacteria, Trichomonas, dententium amoeba. The main component of essential oil is cineolmonocyclic terpene.

    Eucalyptus tincture has an antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and disinfecting effect due to the oxidative effect of cineolmonocyclic terpen and anti-inflammatory effect associated with virtually all physiologically active substances that make up its composition.

    Eucalyptus tincture is used for inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract and oral cavity, as well as for disorders of sleep and mild forms of neuroses and neurasthenic disorders.

    Contraindications:

    Eucalyptus tincture is contraindicated in case of individual drug intolerance.

    As the composition of the drug includes ethyl alcohol, it is not recommended to use tincture inside children under 12 years and women during pregnancy and lactation.

    For inhalations: bronchial asthma, bronchospasm, whooping cough.

    With caution apply with increased secretion of digestive glands.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    Dosing and Administration:

    Eucalyptus tincture is taken orally, and also used for rinsing and steam inhalations.

    Adults are advised to drink 15 to 30 drops of liqueur 3-4 times a day after meals. Children over 12 years at the rate of 1 drop for 1 year of life 3-4 times a day after meals.

    For the rinse, dilute 10-15 drops of tincture in 200 ml of warm boiled water.

    Steam inhalations are performed with the help of inhalers of any type, using eucalyptus tincture in undiluted state or after previous dilution with water (as for rinsing).

    The duration of the drug depends on the achieved therapeutic effect, which is determined by the doctor.

    Side effects:

    With increased sensitivity to the drug, allergic reactions may occur, sometimes contact dermatitis (in the region of the lips).

    When ingestion in high doses - nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, muscle spasms; with frequent and / or prolonged inhalation use - dryness of the mucous membranes of the respiratory system.

    When these reactions occur, the use of the drug is stopped.

    Overdose:

    Overdose is not described. There may be an increase in side effects.

    Before the start of treatment, it is necessary to check the sensitivity of the patient to the plant.
